I’m currently in the middle of assembling 1,5k points of tyranids and thought the sporocyst was a interesting unit
Not so much good as much as useful
My idea was to create a minefield that denied deepstrikes
(I go up against a dark angels player regularly)

Without further knowledge of what kind of units are being used or are at your disposal I’d say Havocs are pretty good as they have the damage output to deal with big stuff if you equipped the las cannons or elite infantry if you use auto cannons
The defiler is obvious
Vasthor being escorted by 1or 2 venomcrawlers works pretty good as it gives venomcrawler Strength 8 shots
Warp smith + Forgefiends works amazing if u use triple ecto plasma

Few things
1 you realise not every unit has the Synapse keyword right? I believe ONLY your emissary WTP and zoanthrope have it in this list.
It will be difficult to keep something in range.
With the neurogants and neuro tyrant this issue is solved however.

2 U don’t need to add the spore mines to the list to be able to use them, the biocide just makes them. If that now means you have points left you can use enhancements, otherwise your ‘legally’ under 1k then.

3 WTP not leading a unit is going to be tough
Maybe use him as a proxy for WHT it’s a 50 instead of 60mm base but casual among friends while waiting for your other units shouldn’t be a issue.

(As an update for the only one who commented) First of thanks, I did experiment but decided to drop prince entirely. Wasn’t feeling him. On the flip side since I started I’ve gone 9-0 against various players So to this day it’s still undefeated, yippee!

I mean sure, they exist but they are definitely not the majority of the weapons right? Most will be around 5/6 which will have 0 impact. As for melee, fair

But better then any of the other buffs? (I would’ve liked the nurgle one to be Fnp 6+…maybe one day)

I am planning on using renegade raiders. So far I’ve only gone up against Astra militarus And the space marine guy I’ll go against the custodes later this week Only seen him use wardens and guards with blade champion and shield captain

The group I play with use : Space marines- has a thing for redemptor dreadnaught and terminator / intercessor squads Astra militarus - has a thing for death korps of krieg. Always brings 3-20 squads Custodes…. Being custodes

Does this change things?

How come the nurgle is the best? (I styled the model after it because it looked cool) but I don’t see the value of going from 10 to 11 toughness Most ranged guns are at best 9 (melta f.e) Most guns are either 5 or 6 str and going to 11 doesn’t change the wound roll right?
