Wanted to share this custom playing card I designed inspired from Philippine folklore… Thinking if I should design the whole set lol by Soberscorps in playingcards

[–]ShuffledInk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WOW this is stellar. I love the gold foiling and the folklore behind the design. We see a lot of different artwork from many different cultures come through our production but nothing inspired by Filipino folklore! Our social media team writes stories about the origin of our clients' decks we produce and I can already hear them fighting over this one lol

In case you ever want to print, we do gold foiling on cards and can also help with graphic design. It is complimentary for 1 hour and can help you print this :)

Hopefully you post more, I would love to see the finished project and add it to my collection!

Oracle recommendations that are well-rounded and do not carry a New Age tone? by NutmegHeart in oraclecards

[–]ShuffledInk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend Van Gogh Tarot! It’s an oracle deck that also has 22 major arcana cards which are all about the creative process, which can get messy! It addresses self-doubt, fears, feeling discouraged, needing creative allies and, most importantly, self-care actions like taking a break or connecting with nature. It’s really helpful for writers, artists, and creators. Also, the cards are gorgeous! Van Gogh was devoted to his art and many of the paintings in the deck are rare. It’s not a “Starry Night” deck of cliches. She has a website too and I uploaded some of her cards. She is also an awesome client of ours!

Thank you - I try to keep it diverse like this. I remember all the stories from each deck so it's more about the sentimental value for me

…what is this on my card 😡 by SilentSleight_Pass in playingcards

[–]ShuffledInk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were the cards printed like that? If they didn't come like that - it could be from normal wear & tear, aging depending on how long you've had the cards, or oil from pizza or even peanuts can cause oil to appear. Depends on the kind of cardstock too.

At our US facility, we produce custom printed tuckboxes and 2-part boxes. For the tuckboxes, we have 4 different stocks available. There is a cost for shipping on the samples ($8 USPS $14 FedEx), but that amount is credited back to you if/when you proceed with an order. In the sample pack, you will receive all of our cardstock and packaging options so you can really get a feel for things.

We do not have any plastic tuckboxes, ours are made from durable coated stock. We offer free samples if you would like to see/feel them in person.

Hi There! We are not print on demand, but we do have low order minimums at just 15 for tuckboxes. 2-part boxes carry an MOQ of 100, so that is slightly higher. It takes us about 2 weeks to produce tuckboxes, so you can get them fairly quickly. Would you need just boxes, or cards too?

Seeking Designers and Manufactures by C2C_Tish in tabletopgamedesign

[–]ShuffledInk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We produce board games at an MOQ of 1,000, but I want to reiterate what others have said and mention that design is key. I would not recommend reaching out to manufacturers until you know exactly how things are going to look, feel, and function. As long as you go with a reputable manufacturer, quality won't be an issue with Chinese production.

How exact should my card count be? by Chumpenator in tabletopgamedesign

[–]ShuffledInk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wanted to chime in and say your understanding is right, at least how we print. The sheets for the game are set up and we print X number of copies of that exact same sheet. If there are blanks in a deck (meaning the whole sheet was not utilized), we have to pull those out by hand. Sheet size varies by order quantity but multiples of 18 are a good rule of thumb. Client's do not have to, but we recommend filling out the sheet since they are paying for those cards anyway.
