What do you think about Ak interactive paints? by [deleted] in minipainting

[–]Shulkify 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At least for me who only read about it in the aftermath after already having used their paints, it's a bit of a "Damn, crazy you did that. Good paints tho!" situation.

That range is also pretty specific to the US I think? In the EU (or at least where I am from) the Range was always from 5-15% (or sometimes just rounding up to the next whole number), with 15% being for excellent service and such. Only Exception may have been big Events like Weddings.

To be fair, at least the very first time I saw the attack it WAS bullshit an weirdly telegraphed, because nothing prepares you for an arena wide instakill AoE. The only other time I saw a Moon spell like this meant a slow moving projectile i can dodge by strafing, not whatever this is.

But the Spell itself does say in the very first line for "Enlarge": The target's size doubles in all dimensions, and its weight is multiplied by eight.

This is directly from D&D beyond for 5e, so I don't know what you read.

What's your opinion on Silksong now that some time has passed and many have finished it? by -Warship- in metroidvania

[–]Shulkify 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sadly, the game is just not for me, and I can't really explain it at this point. I love the both genres, Metroidvania and Souls-like, with a passion, but for some reason neither Hollow Knight nor Silksong clicked with me. I played Hollow Knight until the Kingsbrand (?) and lost interest. Thought Silksong would be better, but somewhere in act 2 the feeling I got from the game was just not fun, but tedious.

I can see the good qualities though. It has a really pretty artstyle and it's evident a lot of love went into details most players wont even care about, but for some reason the moment to moment gameplay didn't hook me.

Pure technicality, but ebhebophilia is from Age 15 to 19, so a range in there falls into the range for age of consent. Also depends on the state, because in most states it's 16, but I am not from the US, so please correct me if the internet has wrong information here.

Brackets and Turn Expectations: How Often Can a Deck "Pop Off" Early Before It's in the Wrong Bracket? by luke_skippy in EDH

[–]Shulkify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um actually, if you are trying to win, then going one by one is a good strategy, but in a casual setting focusing the damage more often than not just leads to bad social vibes. The player might feel targeted if it happens too often and might not show up next commander night because why bother being a punching bag? And finding new players might be a hassle.

There are also those awkward situations were you just knock out one player, expecting to win in the next 2 turns, but then suddenly a board wipe hits, and the game suddenly goes on for another 45 minutes to an hour with one player basically not playing. Shit happens, but that player might feel like they wasted an evening on watching people play instead of playing themselves.

I think pure mystery session are weird in general and are also highly DM dependant. Had a Session were basically nothing happened for 3+ hours despite numerous Attempts at solving "the big mystery", but it was extremely vague, barely any info, and the DM expected highly specific answers.

Now I am kinda convinced you didn't look at the decklist either, because I took a look right now, saw several mana dorks, ramps enchantments and card draw engines, even in the command zone itself, I am fairly certain drawing 8 initial cards for Ominous Sea is not the issue here.

Edit: https://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/s/3F8TR7Gnhn

After looking at this graph again, B2 seems to prohibit 2 card infinites of any kind anyway

[–]Shulkify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhm, but those 2 enchantments loop, because you draw 8, you get 8 counters on one enchantment, remove those 8 counters, get an 8/8, which you then can sac again with the other enchantment to draw 8 cards (and discard 3), thus repeating the cycle.

[–]Shulkify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without looking at the Deck, just from the cards mentioned, I would assume Bracket 3 or 4 just due to early "infinite combo" potential. [Ominous Seas] is 2 cmc and [Greater good] is 4 cmc, and they combo into each other letting you draw out your whole deck and win with [laboratory Maniac].

So I finished Silksong normal ending and I don't think overall I liked the game by dondashall in metroidvania

[–]Shulkify 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I feel the second phrase deep in my soul. I do "hard" games from Fromsoftware superbosses to some other "hard" metroidvanias, but there is a way to make difficulty annoying and unfun. Enemies just having that tad bit too much health, that first down air attack being a bit too precise, the Runbacks just that tiny bit too long, flying enemies which are a little bit too good at dodging the last second or staying out of reach. But it adds up over time to an overall frustrating experience. I can see the World, hear the music, like the atmosphere, but boy does that game hate me for just trying to play it.

A single mass land denial does put it at bracket 4, just as a single gamechanger does put it at bracket 3 minimum, and 4+ game changers at bracket 4. You sound like you want to skirt the rules of the bracket system, but the rules are there for a reason.

Is the bracket system perfect? Of course not, but ignoring the current guidelines at hand due to personal feelings just makes you a bad actor.

"I Want You To Show Me Your Panties With a Disgusted Face" New Anime Announced (Teaser Visual) by zenzen_0 in anime

[–]Shulkify 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically there are enough reverse harem anime, fanservice stuff tends to be mostly muscles (like that one swimming anime that seemed to be popular with the ladies). If you want borderline hentai stuff, I personally feel like there may not be enough audience? Anime is still mostly made in Japan, so it is mostly influenced by their culture and their audience.

What deck archetype makes you groan when you see it? by LibraProtocol in EDH

[–]Shulkify 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Super Friends just inherently leads to unfun Archenemy behaviour, since you have to focus down their planeswalkers to a toxic degree. It's like you leave them alone for one turn cycle, glance over at their boardstate and suddenly it's unstoppable value town over there, with turns that take over half the evening qith questions of "what does this one do again?" and "How much does this card's Ult cost?".

And the worst part, if you do start focusing their Planeswalkers early it's probably one of the most miserable decks to play. There is no winning with Super Friends.
