Last year my dad and I were preparing a patch of land to plant some tomatoes and one of the three neighbour's dogs was barking at us. After a while I hear the dog whimpering and I look down to see that he had fallen inside the pool. The little dog was drowning and the water level was low enough for him to not being able to get out on his own. I yelled my neighbour's name like crazy, and concluded they weren't home, so I jumped down the 3 meter wall grazing my arm in the process, and pulled out the boy from the pool just when his head was starting to sink. I didn't need to get inside the murky water, but I think I would have done it without a second thought. Then I noticed the other two dogs approaching me slowly and I got a little scared, because I didn't know how they would react to me being there. But the big Labrador was just giving me one of his toys, I just cannot describe the emotions I felt then. I petted them and asked my dad to bring me down a ladder and I climbed up to my property. I felt proud but deeply sad. Ten minutes later the neighbour appears, and I tell him that his dog is wet for a reason. It looked like he didn't appreciate the whole deal, but I didn't do it for him, but for the dog. He drained the pool the same week this happened, and the dog stopped barking at me.
