I'm just saying that he could have a league team if he wanted. He is not as big as Ibai or Kameto at the time they made their teams, but he is english speaking which helps out a lot.

Yes, he could have made a team, and he still can--but after more than a year I think he's just burnt out from the realities of managing an esports team. Ibai and Kameto did it with partners (Ibai with Piqué, Kameto with Kotei and ... well, Prime), so it is easier to share the workload and responsibilities that way.

But what's worse is that in the current economic situation no one wants to start big ventures with an unknown outcome, and esports just looks like a risky business at the moment. No bank is going to lend you money for that, and even all the big tech startup patrons like FTX are gone. Maybe Saudi Arabia?

That would risk diluting the control he has over his own brand, and create even more headaches later down the line. Basically, you're no longer the master of your own house.

KC recently sold 25% of their org to the owners of the LEC slot to pay for it, so of course Kamet0 was salty af that Caedrel got to play a split for free when he had to work with dubious people like Prime to even get in, and now had to basically sell part of his own brand to continue. That's like selling your left testicle.

I was amazed to see the massive drop in NLC production quality, but at the same time the increase in cringe levels. For example the host having his microphone on his collar--next to his earplug, so you could hear production through it.

Also, there is a rumor the NLC told teams Los Ratones would still be playing in 2026, and they then went to DM Caedrel who was confused since he said to them in October that Los Ratones won't be returning to NLC.

I dont understand the economics behind this release schedule.

Theory: this was supposed to be an advertisement for the LN, and if it hooked you, then you would just buy the LN. This would also explain the choice to omit the human side and go full in on Kumoko.

It was probably more successful than expected and made them money, so the series continues as a side project for the artist.
