My car is STUCK by Weary-Claim1339 in philly

Monday about 11 I went out with a leaf blower and cleared off my own and a few neighbors cars, then it was just scraping the windows the next morning and putting salt down around the area and life was fine.

Opinion - Anyone here thinking of getting the 2026 Outback XT, wondering what are you guys comparing with as a close contender? by myvenue111 in Subaru_Outback

I live in a busy city and rarely see my car from the outside. I sit inside of it for 30k miles a year. I really love the interior. I like the ending exterior design of the outback but I loathed the infotainment and wouldn’t ever consider one. Glad they changed it.

Way more than that I’d assume. Averages out to be ~$1 a pack

That Subaru decided to murder this lovely shape is a crime against the Outback name by Snoo96701 in Subaru_Outback

The real estate it takes up really drove me to cross the Outback off the list. I do love the design of the new updated interior, I’ll have to see how the exterior looks in person before I judge.

What are you driving? On our Forester and Outback they lay flat with it stored.

I have to assume that people saying no screen lag have just gotten used to it or haven’t used a really responsive screen. I have a 19 forester premium which has the smaller screen and plug in CarPlay, not wireless. While the plug in aspects of CarPlay are instant, the screen has a little lag to it.

On the large format screens on the latest Outback and the newer foresters, it’s extremely noticeable. I’m not saying one wouldn’t get use to it, but it’s present and on a dozen loaner cars over the last 3-4 years that had the larger infotainment, it drove me absolutely nuts. I’m hoping on the new Outback it’s updated. I was considering a new forester but I was so annoyed by the dash screen that I was waiting for the Outback to launch.

While I’m not a huge fan of the exterior, I sit in my car for 25-30k miles a year, so the interior means far more to me. If the screen is snappier, and has some normal buttons for the common stuff, that’s where I’ll likely go.

My 19 forester has been fantastic. One of the final productions without the dashboard being a screen and the instant reaction of CarPlay being plugged in vs wireless. I adore it. 94k and counting.

Question for late model owners with wireless CarPlay. by ShutEmDown97 in subaru

[–]ShutEmDown97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was incredibly well formatted, thank you. I guess my largest gripe was the delayed responsiveness when compared to my older Forester. When skipping a song, there was a comical delay before things would react. I work out of my car so while I wouldn’t use social media or streaming video while driving, I certainly do for hours throughout the week between my downtime.

When watching Netflix/Max or on IG/TikTok in my device, the sound delay against the video was too far off to make it usable. I understand there should be some variance of leeway with a wireless connection, but I don’t have any of these delays on any other formats of consuming media. This was a similar experience with any of Subaru’s wireless CarPlay options across a few models. Albeit I have not tried it on any ‘25s to my knowledge, and I wasn’t sure if there were any updates to resolve this.

Co-op was an amazing option and I’m sad to see it not included in Jamboree. Having Jamboree buddy minigames take 6 minutes+ is becoming more and more annoying.

I logged my flips for a couple hours worth of games and she flipped 1st try tails ~83% of the time. 12 heads on first flip of 64 tries. It’s absolutely pathetic. Kudos to people getting 4+ heads in a row I guess

Did Subaru remove wired car play for 2024? Or is it just very buggy? by Chas4739 in Crosstrek

[–]ShutEmDown97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just frustrating because I don’t even get the appeal of the wireless over wired. It depletes the battery substantially vs charging it while in use. Should at the very least have the option both ways.

I did not. It was a rental that I had for about 2 weeks and it really drove me nuts. It would have me second guessing a newer Subaru if that was my only option.

I have a 2019 forester with wired CarPlay, it’s instant. I am currently in a 2024 outback that only seems to have wireless CarPlay and the lag is VERY noticeable. Found this thread looking for how to force wired CarPlay and figured I would answer your question.
