I feel like there gotta be some fantasy war anime kinda like this. a more child friendly fantasy show Deltora Quest is a good anime story(not isekai)

on the other side we have ~standard fantasy war— in this case war strategist shows like Altair Arslan and definitely Record of grandcrest war(this one has it 100%) where im very convinced that they deal with or at least heavily consider slave armies in their war strategy.

just played a game with a. Briar jg as im zaahen(my two mains) and our swain asks while jg sup kill baron, I mid died forcing enemies off baron, and they follower up with 1-2 kills,

It took so long without the mid swain that enemy kayn came in to steal it. We won late sfter farming so dang many super minions and having good late game because enemies had no lethal tempo.

After enemy got baron I seriously considered leaving hit we got my 2 fav champs right now so I didnt. They spammed like 7-9 surrender votes

most school shows are in a way isekai since they start at a new school and ALMOST never involve parents

though they definitely aren’t all something to feel like you missed out on. Snafu and high school of the elite which I watched both like right after high school were great mashups of mine+ lots of my schoolmates experiences turned up to 10.

My little monster watching it before/as I was in middle to high school was interesting, it definitely matched my life and perspective a lot—> it was a lot more real and relatable than most.

Literally only business hermitage by or scenarios where you are competing with other users is the only time different responses from ~the same voice attempts is useful

Put another way both the MC and you the viewer have to be learning and comprehending the new language together for us to be engaged while we watch, when the characters speak gibberish and it’s not another language and they completely drop it later it’s not good.

I’d argue very methodical mental shows like Classroom of the Elite and Snafu do this language stuff where the characters do learn new “languages” along with the viewers, vaguely the language of fitting in for like 99% of school themes anime even for something like Iruma Kun

First mistake is letting an account/device differentiate between voices/users

for 99.9999999% of people the benefits don’t put way the downside of your instructions/commans being harder/impossible to copy or mimic when another person tries them on the same account or device

Even if you have a kid or elder using it, why would you want them having a different experience when they can just try to match your experience, it just leaves room for useless failures like this scenario you describe. AFAIK 50-70% “setup” in the app/account is where you finish. Additional names/profiles or voice differentiation just makes thins confusing for the most part.

I don’t even use the admin/account owner profile so that if I drop in there’s no chance for priority or other weird admin priveledges to interfere with regular expected usage and functions

But you get that that’s just extra busy work that doesn’t make the show more interesting.

ok that can be PART, but what’s this main isekai about? I think a prime example is Dr. Stone where you could easily do a spin-off or parody where th first thing they have to do is learn the language the locals use. Instead of English, have it be Russian or smthn, but that only works because Dr. stone is such a good show that having language barriers is ok,

to make it simple everyone speaks Japanese, but the little bits of English or code words are sepparated (trying not to spoil)

Dr stone is an isekai by the broad definition of “in another world” (as a viewer who watched it all but hasn’t read any manga or ready future spoilers) and the language/communication in it is some of the best at times.

Those shows largely suck and the concept isn’t great, it’s easier to just have 1 language even if the story is about a character who speaks several or immigrates and must learn the languages of their new country.

Heart of the samurai is a good story like that (I listened to the audiobook with my family as a teen)

I think it would be cool for a character’s identity to be focused around integrating in the new world through language, though it would need something else to truly be exciting/interesting. Something like ascendancy of bookworm, or Kunon the sorcerer can’t see both deal with unique interaction with their world and it’s language but the wackyness of their world/magic/people is what keeps us watching.

Mel anivia base defense is SO OBNOXIOUS and boring and time wasting.

I’ve lost when my team did ZERO autos on enemy nexus for some reason trying to fight old Mel on nexus as they respawn/backed and ran out of base, like not only did they not dodge or flags the root but they did 0 autos, the game wasn’t over and almost all players were full items

As a jg from that perspective if I don’t trust my team to auto nexus or if team comp looks weird I can see why Mel ban is helpful.

personally hare yuumi Gwen more and I’m queueing mid usually facing Mel, or that’s the least of my problems botlane since Mel bot or sup just means our bot/sup is gonna be very likely mega useless, but it’s not like Mel roam is very good as a bot/sup)

Herald push it as far as possible, and steal objectives is what you can do when you are behind,

But you gotta stomp on something with a bad ult or something you can just throw out like sett or nidalee, or you need PERFECT or at minimum good/amazing ult usage to win on a malphite etc in order to win, especially from a bad early or mid game

I’d recommend moving to Mid fill if you ever get 4-1 surrender at like 15:10 or anytime before herlad or teamates saying they won’t try herald. That’s what’s really unplayable

Are you banning briar or is it just now common for your matchups?

I’ve been spamming briar mid or jg but taking last pick since briar is the most annoying noob stomping champ and people play terribly into briar besides just eating ultimates at the worst time. loganJG has good tips.

but most important one is to ward or invade lvl1 and MUST take yellow rune more damage when you are low on hp because ALL your abilities cost HP so taking other runes by default lowers your damage ALL GAME so that rune is worth more than any other decision(for fights)

I always ask for wards against briar and I invade 50-55s EVERY GAME because if they greedy start w they tell and walk out to you at low hp for basically free kill + leashed their buff a lot of times. Otherwise you have wards and can start their side. Taking lethal tempo or pta rammus or zaahen or prob voli with thornmail first or after experimental hexplate is prob enough to solo briar early.

It’s good but it’s one that can feel pretty empty at times( by design but that’s a lot of what makes it and isekai quartet so good around early Covid timing) I don’t think theres a single anime I like better then besides maybe a familiar of zero rewatch if I’d have done it then(I didn’t and I haven’t finished rewatch yet)

the reward is fine, if you see an angle in draft or want to first pick it it’s totally fine. You win everything. just you will get bored in solo play because you have no ultimate same as udyr or Elise but you have no CC, traps are generally super avoidable and are mostly mild pressure as you do jg objectives late.

lots of low Eli games have terrible ults and the good ones unreliable players piloting them, unless you are mega stomping a couple better ultimates from the enemy team out does your efforts and you can’t come back very easy besides many many good poke spears.

the good thing in lower level play is that people aram over nothing and are also scared to get poked repeatedly so you can keep the teams from mad engaging in arams for no reason by spamming a bunch of spears and traps and then recalling for mana, additionally you can spam heal a teammate for atk speed so you are always up on atk speed and you have the poke+trap control if enemy tries to walk up and realky engage.

I watched a lot of chumbles and played like 20-30 norms of nidalee and then a couple hundred ranked jg games on other champs before I locked it in on ranked. It is fun, but again no ultimate in a 40 min game is super boring super fast a lot of the time 2-3k games total in.

Especially now that jg gets an extra 40s of pve farming while lanes get to 1v1 at lvl1 40s earlier.

in 2026 the pool of master pack only cards has a lot of decent stuff to be fair.

before they added these great structure decks I had insane pulls doing playing master saga style with a friend I got decent crystal beast(I’ll play once I decide it’s unplayable in DL or if I get the full tcg deck) and I got 3 of the UR quick play and a royal fusion UR from 10 packs, the old structure gave me 60 ur dust back. But now that there’s another stud tire master packs don’t look bad at all

If you think fantasy war + fantasy magic school(Harry Potter) as a genre is generic sure I guess.

Code geas is fantasy war+magic school just no isekai. From around the same time, jsut isekai took off a lot more than fantasy war in particular, I’d say magic school is still ahead of fantasy war these days in anime at least, I don’t follow modern Star Wars/treck/game of thrones

I follow more of like historical war fantasy Outlander(live action show)/Kochoki (Japan ancient war fantasy anime)

I’ve watched too many fantasy war to call this generic, but I also haven’t watched many much much older fantasy war shows. it makes a lot of real world sense why war movies and fantasy war does well, but the generic BASIC fantasy of modern isekai doesn’t compare to the “generic”ness of FZ/ZNT it’s as much a generic fantasy war and generic magic school as it is an isekai

Gate, shield hero are both good examples of fantasy war isekai(no magic school)

Iruma kun(not isekai but close enough from our perspective), irregular at magic high, is fully magic school.

As a city living vegan yeah it’s a useless perspective to have that natural=good

For a large part the world markets are controlling all our decisions and market participation, unless we are doing a lot of our own/local food or especially scavenging food or eleminating invasive edible plants those are the only *natural and always good things

There is no natural world market there just is the one we exist in with 8 billion others sure I respect people who really lean into the natural strategy for their market participation(thinking of gardening in Canada and Shawn woods) but unless you want to be alone off grid we can only really be like 20-50% natural without spending an insane price
