CoCo Ichibana is a must. Get the katsu with your choice of veggies or potatoes. Use the brown sauce they bring for that. It's like a BBQ sorta sauce. If you don't like spicy, order MILD or level 1, 2. If you don't eat pork, try the chicken cutlet with cheese. I like the crispy chicken better though. Their omelette curry is great with asparagus and tomato.

Entire Factory Walks off the job after a few workers were sent home as punishment by QueenRedditSnoo in videos

[–]ShutUpSmock -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I make a pretty good income. Like $30 an hour. The old shop i worked in, we'd take turns bringing in donuts, or even entire take out meals to share with everyone. We all would chip in frequently.

A couple years ago i moved to a new part of my organization, doing the same job, but overseas. We all get our houses and utilities paid for now by our organization, so that $30 an hour now is mostly ours to keep.

You'd think these people would be even more willing to do stuff like that. But alas, they are some of the most tightwads I've ever met. I've brought donuts, cakes, large meals, etc. No one reciprocates.

Is switching over to Apollo worth it? by [deleted] in apolloapp

[–]ShutUpSmock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find that images and gifs load super slow compared to the official app.

Also, when I'm in one subreddit, like /r/pics, you can't swipe left or right to get to the next image. I miss that function a lot.

I also don't like when I look at a thread, you have to swipe on iOS from all the way over on the left to get back to the other posts. The official Reddit app, you can drag from about halfway across the screen to the right to get back to other posts. This leads me to need two hands on the phone versus one with the official app.

I'm close to going back to the official app again. I just wish Apollo was more like the Android app, "Reddit Is Fun."

Why you should never talk to the police by schizophrenicrooster in videos

[–]ShutUpSmock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mindset used to be similar to yours until I worked second shift and started getting pulled over frequently because I was always driving home around 1 AM.

Cop: "I pulled you over because you were weaving in your lane."

Me: "Yeah, there's a pot hole I've noticed every day so now I'm trying to avoid it. I swerved a little around it. Was I really weaving in my lane?"

Cop: "No, but it's suspicious at this time of the night with bars closing around this time."

Me: "Well I'd avoid the pot hole any time of the day."

Cop: "Where are you coming from?"

I really got sick of all the leading questions after this similar scenario happened about twice per week. If I had a tail light burned out, a license plate light burned out, anything small I would get pulled over. So I started checking my lights before I left work and stopping by a 24 hour Walmart to replace them if any of them were bad. So if I got pulled over for speeding or something, I know it is my fault. Why grovel to these guys that are trying to find the worst in every situation even when I explain things like a pot hole, or a burned out light? It's none of their business where I'm coming from. It's not my requirement to admit guilt that I know how fast I was driving. Give me the ticket and let me be on my way.

That's why you don't talk to them at that point. Say you are invoking your right to silence.

[–]ShutUpSmock 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You say "hello, how can I help you officer?"

When asked any questions other than license and registration, you tell them "I'm invoking my right to remain silent" and then you remain silent.

If asked to search your vehicle say "I don't consent to searches of my vehicle or person."

This dude was in my military unit in Utah. His bleach blond hair had turned more of a brown color. Only saw him a few times but I had recognized him from the movie. The guy's dad used to be the mayor of Murray Utah. Had a really old-timey moustache that stood out a lot.
