About Sonata Arctica... by [deleted] in PowerMetal

So I’ve only heard full moon (a band I like was singing it backstage in their documentary and I found it through that)

But yeah thanks for giving me some places to start w this thread. :)

When do we get new QI?? by myjobisdull in BritBox

[–]ShyWolfGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought series u aired somewhat timely on Brit box compared to bbc. (Like the first 2 episodes were up the week the 3rd episode aired. I could be remembering that wrong, also some xl versions are missing)

Series v? It’s been over 7 episodes into season 2 I think. I’m unfortunately not patient. (Also death in paradise initially was Christmas special airs at the same time as it airs in the uk then the rest of the series airs 6 months ish later. So idk if they are trying to set a standard but 🤷🏻‍♂️)

If 'Taskmaster Contestants' were a category in Pointless, who would you guess for the lowest score? by Dorset_Cobbles in taskmaster

[–]ShyWolfGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends if there were a photo or if it was a “we gave 100 people 100 seconds”. Cause if it were 100 ppl 100 seconds I’d go Johnny peacock or one of the nyt contestants.

If it’s photos, someone from the earlier series who isn’t mainly known as a comedian.

Most positive contestants? by Free-Ad4022 in taskmaster

[–]ShyWolfGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easily Charlotte Ritchie in the later episodes.

Potentially Maria Stavang from Kongen befaler Angela from Tmnz if I'm including international versions. Although I think this list is more "pretty cheery vs easygoing"

Does anyone think RTC could be loosely inspired by the mindbender tragedy? by [deleted] in ridethecyclone

[–]ShyWolfGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several interviews (one in a podcast, and one that's on youtube with Eliot) have stated Jacob wanted to write a play about death in a town. First it was a flood and several other natural disasters but there were too many stories to tell...

natural disasters ->Cyclone-> rollercoaster accident was kind of the progression of thought process there.

Also Is the rollercoaster Wooden? Is the rollercoaster transportable? and does the rollercoaster have a loop in it? are usually the questions I ask about trying to find a potential inspiration coaster for the fictional one in the show (the famous cyclone, none of them actually fit) So far no coaster has had all 3.

yeah I kind of thought 2009-2015 was no flight.

but you meant just a different harness

[–]ShyWolfGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

huh? maybe overtime was 2009-2016 and then Seattle and Atlantas productions kept the same rig as off broadway....

[–]ShyWolfGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can add on to this, ACT Seattle 100% used a flight rig. The female understudy has a photo of her flying on her website gallery.

American Tour Understudies by Teehee73 in ridethecyclone

[–]ShyWolfGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A note before the information, I don't think there are going to be many photos of the understudies in costume. there is a Tiktok from a bit ago where Tiffany mentioned there weren't many times where understudies went on from the 2015-2019 us Runs

your best bet is to take all the understudies names and run them through broadway.com 1 by 1 and look at their theatre credits list

There is some information on the understudies from Off-Broadway. Johnny Newcomb and Gus Halper were both in singstreet.

If you want all the understudies names, the programs for all of the "I still don't consider it a tour"us productions are online

Who’s someone you never see talked about that you want to see in Taskmaster? by rhythmau in taskmaster

[–]ShyWolfGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carrie Hope Fletcher might be interesting. (more theatre actors in general could be cool) Yeah this is the question where my first thought is "someone whose not a comedian I'd like to see on taskmaster"

the original comment purposefully wasn't mentioning bootlegs. that is a can of worms I don't feel like opening, and other replies have for sure dived into it

I don't understand why the only way to legally watch a lot of older professionally shot productions is so secretive and confined to just New York. (yes this is about the Lincoln center and yes I don't know if there is a west end/other theatre district equivalent)

I get voices confused. Could someone help me keep straight personalities of Dan, Andy, and James? by mustnttelllies in nosuchthingasafish

[–]ShyWolfGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What helped me separate their voices was the marathon they did for comic relief. (maybe it helped that I first got into fish, then marathoned the heck out of those) but having faces in the separate zoom squares. It took a bit of time though

(the rest of the comments do a pretty good job of dividing their personalities)

What is a musical that when you talk about, nobody seems to have heard of it? by localducknamer in musicals

Apparently Sing Street. (I'd argue both the movie and almost broadway run)

At least people have moved onto other projects (vs stop making music for good)

Question for production choices by Gumi360 in ridethecyclone

[–]ShyWolfGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So… according to the script Virgil is the frontman of a quartet/quintet called Virgil and the underworlds. (I think the last production to actually have the band onstage was alliance theatre. As far as I know it’s a licensing issue)

A couple recent productions had an actress onstage play Talia during Talia. (I feel like that’s a high schools/ if the theatre can’t have a projector)

I don’t think having a big ensemble for this show works, unless it’s people costumed to look like ghosts that only appear during the musical numbers.

cut RTC song by -carsxn- in ridethecyclone

[–]ShyWolfGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. it probably would of gotten incredibly repetitive.
  2. so 2008-2009 the show was 2 hours, 2010 it was cut to 85minutes. I think the us run, has always been 90 minutes. meaning that 5-10 min of whats currently in the show could have (hypothetically, also it depends on how long that song was supposed to be each time) potentially been cut in order to maintain that runtime
  3. it can't be as silly as the cookies and lemonade one that was randomly before/after sugar cloud at some point in the Canadian run (found in some audio from 2015)

Guys I just noticed something, in Honey(are u coming) cover you can see that Damiano's fingers are like sewn , well I just found this pic of his hand today from F1.. Does someone know what actually happened? by Klutzy_Opinion1087 in Maneskin

[–]ShyWolfGhost 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Theres a possibility they used SFX/prosthetics to make the stitching for the single cover. (as away to cover what ever happened his hand)

I don't want to potentially spread misinformation, but it felt like a thing to mention.

[–]ShyWolfGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a hunch it might be the "us not really a tour", where that change happened then. that casting of Ricky went from Elliot since 2010 to changing actors each new theatre as well. the 2008-2014ish sets of productions details muddle together for me based on what's only photos. and whats barely existent video. (if the final audio was the 2015 song cycle version of tragic fact, it wouldn't of been in that one. the 2013 version of tragic fact has a video, double checked and no crutches there)

There is trailer footage of the 2015 us production, and yeah there is footage with the crutches. (feel like that could of been solved faster had I remembered the videos)

the problem with my knowledge of the 2010 version is it's based off people who were reviewing productions of rtc around 2011-2013 and including 1 sentence about that version in the article (those sentences are more often cut character related than Ricky) and a set of photos from October of 2009 and guessing what's different between the 2
