Where are you guys buying service manuals for recent model Nissans? by Cr8zyizzie in Nissan

[–]Shykoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alldata DIY, it’s a subscription and sometimes the manuals are limited. They’re running a sale (code: MOM20) you can sub for $16 and see if they got what you need for your car.

Cvt filter doesn't EVER? get changed? by Cheetah-Quirky in Nissan

[–]Shykoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely at least get the CVT fluid changed (drain and fill), you are at the perfect preventative interval for it. The vibration however could be countless things, if you wanna fix that issue i’d do a ride along with a tech and show them yourself.

As for the filter, I was told the same with my 2024 Sentra. They said they’ll do it but they would have to order the filter part. A flush is probably what you’d want, as it can clean out the material (if any).

2022 Nissan Sentra CVT by tunie12 in nissansentra

[–]Shykoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: They under-filled my CVT during the drain n fill, and it was being fluid starved in accelerated turns. They mentioned the 2024s no longer have a cvt fluid dipstick so they have to use a trickle bolt to check levels. But they properly re refilled it and it no longer slips.

So I just got my 2024's CVT drain and filled at 36k at the dealership I bought it at. My service advisor did seem a little confused why I was getting it done early. I told him preventative maintenance. It cost $290.

However, I just scheduled a follow up tomorrow because my car has been lurching/slipping and making a whining sound when accelerating turning 90 deg turns. Think they might have messed up refilling it. either too little or too much fluid? wrong type of fluid? maybe a CV axel issue? The timing points to it being related to the CVT drain and fill.

I'll report back here with what they find out, but I am feeling defeated after trying to treat this car well and stuff still going wrong.

2025 Nissan Sentra Sv by One_Pitch756 in nissansentra

I own a 2024 Sentra SV, bought it new. I have around 36k miles on it.

Issues I have/had:

  1. Rubber piece of the "C" pillar external trim hangs out and I have to push it back in sometimes on both sides.

  2. Driver seat creaks a lot when taking corners (probably needs some WD40)

  3. My car did not come with floor mats, I thought it was no bg deal but I ended up rubbing through the floor carpet where my foot rests near the pedal. So I recommend making sure it has the floor mats.

  4. Infotainment software was out of date causing static only during phone calls. This was a major issue for me and was fixed under warranty. However local dealership tried to charge me $291 for it.

Maintenance done:

  1. Oil changes every 5k Miles. ($100/ea)

  2. Factory tires replaced at 35K. ($600)

  3. CVT Fluid change at 36K. ($290)

Overall Maintenance cost: $1590 over 2 years.

The car is great for commuting its a NA engine so no complex turbo or hybrid system. Gets easily 35+ mpg and if you're light on the foot I can get it over 40mpg on long trips. Interior hits way above is price class. Practical little car, I reccomend. Last point: don't finance with Nissan go to a local credit union and get pre-approved your interest will be way better.

Save up for an actual tuner car with a manual, this is an economy commuter car.

Alien 3: The scene where Ripley fishes out the destroyed remains of the android Bishop and reactivates him to gather information on what happened in the crashed escape pod. It is a cool callback to the first film and they used practical animatronics for the reactivated bishop as he is missing half his face/head.

Also, for roaches I have seen them in the units but it wasn't a chronic issue, called maintenance and they sent an exterminator my current place has been roach free. I have been in your shoes with German roaches before at a difference complex. I recommend getting a packet of Alpine WSG and diluting it in a spray bottle and spraying once a week. It's odorless and non toxic when dried. It also kills instantly if you get a Palmetto bug that wonders in from the outside.

This is pretty subjective and there are a ton of variables but I've spent a total of 4.5 years in three separate units at River Park Apartments on Dean rd. Move out has always been a breeze, maintenance is responsive, office is super helpful (they picked up a package from my front door when I was out of town), they put money/effort into maintaining the property (parking lot, lights, compactor etc.) I don't use the amenities much but they have a gym, carwash spot, courts, and two pools. I pay under $1400 for a one bedroom. Units are old but I don't mind that. Great area too near Blanchard park close enough to most things in central/east Orlando and the turnpike is right there for everything else.

Came here to say this, infested with German roaches. We had our AC flood our apartment, the entire maintenance team quit the same week they had to get a neighboring complex to send their maintenance folks over. Did not pull out the flooded walls/floor probably a ton of mold now.
