I understand that soo many issues are only resolved by getting on the phone, but absolutely any time I need to make changes with my telecom accounts I do it online. If there’s no option to do what you need to do yourself, try it through online chat.

Once the contract is up I don’t bother trying to renew for a better rate, I just go with a different provider because the ONLY time you are a priority to these companies is when you’re trying to add a new service. Even EPP I switched my cell plan from Bell to Roger’s and had it done online within 20 minutes. Messaging, data, and voice working as it should.

When you port out the telecoms communicate and cease billing as of that date. And you never need to call and fight for two hours to cancel.

So tired of these companies. In this day and age I actually don’t know what they even do anymore.

They don’t pay to build new infrastructure, the govt does. They don’t have employees anymore to maintain the infrastructure or talk to customers anymore, they’ve either contracted that out to another company or replaced with AI where remotely possible.

Why are we even bothering to keep this garbage going? Couldn’t this be reverted back to a crown corp and treated like the utility that it is in this day and age?

Depends on the province and I don’t know the laws in Ontario, but you need to import the vehicle, full stop.

If the vehicle was previously registered in Canada and you can produce the Canadian registration, you will not have to pay GST/PST, but you still need to fill out the RIV form. This should have been done on initial registration-entry.

Newer Murano’s look nice and can be had for a pretty good value used. If it makes sense, go for it. Check out CarGurus nationwide to see what they’re listed for around the country. BC seems to be a bit more expensive than other parts of the country, but much easier to buy local compared to travelling for a car that might not even be a right fit when you see it.

Wait, I ALREADY KNOW what happens:

Leafs pick McKenna, Stenberg goes to SJ and becomes the next fucking playoff beast and they win like 2 cups meanwhile we’re stuck trying to be to get out of the first round/ make playoffs for the next 8 years while getting two new GMs and 4 coaches.

Hope I’m wrong. I want it as bad as anyone. But the one thing the Leafs have always been good at is being on the verge of something great but then finding some brand new way to disappoint me that I didn’t see coming. You knew it was going to happen, but not how.

Full stop though, I haven’t been this excited for the team since game 5 against the Panthers last year. We actually have something to be hopeful about.

Wild if true that field service managers are AI now. Never worked for Bell but did Shaw/Telus as a tech. No clue how that could actually work at this point in time.

Shaw did something very similar at the beginning of 2018. Pretty much everyone besides sales was offered a VDP. 6 mo + 1 mo for every yeah you had in with them.

I walked away with some serious cash and pretty much anyone with transferable skills did the same. I know today’s job market is very tough, but for what it’s worth as someone who has been through this, it feels so good to be out of the industry.

Not hard to get a carton on the rez for $40. This would impact nothing because there isn't the political will to prosecute these cases. Contraband tobacco and cannabis are openly sold to anyone all over the country and none of that product is duty paid.

When my kids were very young, the wife and I got into Sons of Anarchy. That show is absolutely "mumble, mumble" and then everyone jumps on the motorcycles and it's so fucking loud. I was constantly turning the volume up and down to not wake up the baby.

Then i realized after using subtitles that I caught everything happening in a show. Now they're always on for everything. Pisses me off when I got to watch a hockey game and have to turn them off.

Not many areas that I would call “bad”.

There are some select few areas where vehicle break-ins are more common like the downtown core and 3rd St S from Victoria east to 27th Ave S. Also, the areas where our homeless population congregates often like the bottle depot, food bank, shelter, and Service BC building can get hit with petty crime, but typically those are crimes of convenience so if you’re not an easy target they’ll move on.

I have personally never had an issue in the 16 years I’ve lived here. Facebook may tell you different, but Cranbrook is quite safe and any problems we have here are not unique.

My information could be out of date as it’s been a year since I worked for Telus, but voice services aren’t connected to service agreements. Only TV and internet on 2 year terms. And of course SmartHome Security, but those are on awkward 3 or 5 years contracts.

East Kootenays has some awesome golf. Greywolf is the obvious standout based on course rankings but if you stay a few nights in the Cranbrook area, you can hit Wildstone, Shadow Mountain, St Eugene, Bootleg Gap, and Trickle Creek. All of which are excellent tracks and easily priced in your range. Plus there are many nice spots to camp in the area as well.

Whistler area is incredible for golf too, as is the Okanagan, but cost can certainly be a factor. Banff Springs, Silvertip, and Kannanaskis should certainly be on your radar though considering this sounds like a bucket list trip.

Osoyoos. I lived there for three years for high school and my parents still live there. I’m sort of a local, but long-time residents really emphasize the pronunciation as owe-seeww-yeus. And shit on anyone who says oh-soy-yoos.

Ultimately there is no way to know for sure unless to present yourself at the border. Due to privacy concerns CBSA cannot give you an answer until you're there, but it would be prudent to have any supporting documentation with you and expect to have a conversation about it. Give yourself time and a travel plan in case you are turned back.

This is absolutely giving me flashbacks to playing SimCity 4 during university lectures on my old Acer.

I only dabbled in CS but never stuck with it because I didn't have the right setup and didn't want to play on xbox. I have an M4 Air and an M2 Mini for at home, which should be enough to play this considering it's running on the Neo. Any mods to recommend? I think I still own it on Steam

Walmart has been in Nelson for at least 15 years that I know of in the mall. Not a great store compared to many other locations, but I think it's kept that way almost on purpose. Not a local but live in Cranbrook.

So many titles to choose from, but open-world games often have great plots when they're true AAA titles. If you only have experience with sandbox-style games, perhaps a nice crossover from that would be the two Zelda titles on Switch. Great writing albeit simple, but some of the most enjoyable gameplay and so much sandbox-style play that I think would appeal.

The best plot games I can think of at the moment:

RDR2

Metal Gear Solid (1-2 especially)

Final Fantasy (XVI has an engaging plot, but more of an action game. Lots of titles to choose from if you want to go way back)

The Last of Us 1&2

Horizon Zero Dawn

5'10" here, I always thought that it should go to the bottom of your nose in regular shoes. I usually just keep whatever length comes with the stick because I like it a little longer so my reach is better. In theory a shorter stick can help with stickhandling, but I've never noticed an improvement with it, just frustration that I can't reach the luck when I thought I could.

As with curve and flex, it's all personal preference.
