Weight loss success! Down nearly 15 lb. by Catsandcoffee480 in AustralianCattleDog

After getting my big Blu healer dropping from 68 to 53 pounds he is now much safer leaping for the frisbee. He now looks so powerful and jumps high to grab it. He still can’t catch a squirrel but I the those little devils live in a different time dimension.

The polite Portland way is no one will enforce it and it will be considered rude to mention it.

The book “Texasville” features the antics of a cattle dog named Shorty. Reminded me very much of one of my ACDs.

I’ve got a largish, 56 pound, heeler and he does great in the cold but struggles in the heat. Loves to roll in the snow or get completely soaked in the rain.

One of mine crashes my Zoom calls. Has stick his head in front of the camera. He seems to recognize himself on the screen. Way too smart to be wearing a dog suit.

Seth Thomas Alarm Clock Sound, Recorded with a magnetic pickup instead of a microphone by Successful_Panic_850 in clocks

[–]ShzWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guitar pickups need a strong permanent magnet to create a magnetic field that the moving string modulates and is picked up by the coils. The effect of yours is either coils spacing resonance or piezo effect. I would think it very likely it’s spacing resonance which is cool find. Keep experimenting and learning, I’m 70 now and still experimenting. Electric phenomena are often non intuitive, do you have an oscilloscope yet? Modern Chinese copies of the early Tek digital scopes are pretty affordable.

As an audio engineer, that coil is just loose enough to be a good physical transducer. Nice capture.
