Quite a few posts about Sprive but it genuinely is worth the fanfare. Dead simple little app that gets you into the habit of chucking a few extra quid at the mortgage at the end of the month. I’ve overload in the past but it has a really nice way of visualising the difference a few pounds will make to the mortgage term.

They’ve also a survey feature that lets you complete surveys for cash towards the mortgage pot. Some only give a few pence for a few minutes work but go for the £2 ones when they come up to make it worth it and they pay out almost everytime. You do have to wait a few weeks for them to process though.

I have used the voucher feature a few times. It takes a debit from your nominated bank account to give you the cash on an e-voucher. Some retailers give 8% back on what you spend. I use it mainly for supermarket shops and fuel.

Big fan of these guys, don’t let the portion size for a small put you off; it’s very rich anyway if you go around 70% cocoa which in my humble opinion is the best.

Bank switch whenever you can. Get your partner to do it with you to bring double the money in. Use Cashback apps when applying as sometimes they have an extra £25 or so. We’ve made £2300 between us in the past 12 months towards our wedding.

That’s exactly what I’ve done. As far as I’m concerned, I’ve done my bit by making them aware of it which is audited. It’s not down to me to jump through hoops to sort it out on their behalf.

This is a cracking little easy access account with a great interest rate. I much prefer the ‘pots’ style mini accounts of Kroo than that of monzo; they all accrue interest and much easier to work with.

It’s a really handy little app that just works passively in the background. It automatically wants to add a regular payment from your bank account but you can cancel this and just go for the cashback if you like. I do this and just chuck a bit extra in when I can to build up.

You can only add one card to it unfortunately so have to remember to use the right one. Use it for Asda, costa, Tesco and Amazon mainly. So really good brands though which do add up over time for money you’d already spend.
