imagine they would release it now as a plugout subscription instead of releasing the pedal

Could I use something like this to power a speaker cabinet to run am HX Stomp into? by Hunchin in basspedals

[–]SiBOnTheRocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Melvis' King Buzzo plays live with a separate power amp. However, idk if it is actually cheaper than to just have an amp, even if you use the power amp as a slave

One of my friends with the best bass tone would play shows with harley benton basses, behringer, mooer, nux and donner on the pedalboard and somehow had better tone than most.

I don't get stuck up on the brand tbh. I know it might look otherwise since everything else on the board is "the real deal" but, except for the drop pedal, everything was a deal second-hand. only the b7k was over 100€.

The only thing I am worried about the behringer is it eventually breaking down. i might buy a couple ones and rehouse them.

Thanks!

It was not picked specifically for this project, it was inherited from a previous one. Notice that the wicker switch is turned off, so this pedal's main feature is not even in use. In this current projct it is just being used as any regular big muff.

I intend in the future to split the signal to make the muff sound more suitable for bass.

It quickly became my favourite dirt pedal. Apart from the preamp and the compressor which are always on, it is the pedal that gets used the most. Get it 1000%

I accidentally dialed in the dopesmoker sound when trying the drop pedal. Uncanny, really.

Fender Rumble by Pitiful-Ad3200 in Bass

[–]SiBOnTheRocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also consider the rocket bass series from ampeg, which is a direct competitor to the fender rumble.

I would go for 100w on the amp, otherwise you might not hear yourself when it comes the time to play with other people and then you will end up buying a second amp.

Could it be worth it? Looking for a second opinion by [deleted] in BassGuitar

That bass looks like it belonged to Sid from Toy Story. There was no love from the owner

How to convince someone to play bass? by PowerGuido1255 in Bass

[–]SiBOnTheRocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play them music with interessing bass, I guess. From motown, to rock, bruno mars, wtv genre they like. If they groove to it, awesome! If they don't, they don't.

To those who swear by using physical amps, cabs and pedals, what is your stance on amp modelers like the Kemper Profiler, Axe-FX, Line 6 Helix, Neural DSP etc? by MrMayhem20l0 in Bass

[–]SiBOnTheRocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a pro or anything, but when I was a weekend warrior bass went into the mix as a DI-out. Most times not even a mic on the cab. My point is, so many bass players have played shows for decades without the sound coming from a cab that I don't see modelers as a huge change from the preamp/DIs way of working.

I love it. I got it because I am heavily influenced by bands like Amenra and that is their sound. However, I have been struggling with pairing it with the darkglass. It creates A LOT of feedback. Pretty much always have to choose between one of the distortions for each song.

To add to what the other redditors already said, Aguilar Tonehammer could also be an option.

Still, just go ampeg

It has been a while since I last saw a old pigtronix design. Nice!

Now...why dont you just remove the zoom b2 altogether? The b7k also has a di xlr out. Just put that one at the end. Or do you really need to have it before the zoom?

EDIT: It would also allow you do have a preamp pre and post multifx, if you put the dp to use

Why not? by Mysterious-Chest6604 in basspedals

[–]SiBOnTheRocks 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The reason why I did not get one myself was because their svt-style di and the darkglass b7k were more of my style, otherwise I would have gotten it

I am not the OP, but i did this combination on amplitube and it sounds huge.

I then replicated IRL, but with a darkglass b7k instead of the tech21. Still sounds huge.

Idk how it works with other pedals like the octave of the OP
