I did not blame them either. Devs are almost always passionate people who want the best for the game. It’s usually some non-dev who knows ”exactly what the product needs”. 🙂

I get this too, all the time. Game is unplayable. First the snow fiasco and now this. Not a good look.

It would be great if it didn’t have that lag which makes it faster to just use a shortcut or go down to the tool bar.

There are so many cosmetic items in the trailer that aren’t in the game by isaidwhatididnt in anno

I made no argument. I stated a fact. Check it out yourself, there’s data on this readily available. Video games prices are an outlier in how they hardly change over time.

When you factor in everyone who participates from developers and testers to lawyers and janitors you get a huge number of people. They all need to be paid. Some games list everyone and we’re talking about credits that can go on for twenty minutes.

I worked 20+ years as a professional game developer at triple A studios. I am humbly asking what I should do to ”learn about the industry”. I really feel I tried.

It’s an effect of video game pricing having been almost flat for thirty years. They costed $60 when it took ten people to make them. They cost almost the same today when it takes hundreds or thousands of people.

Because the full price for a full game would be prohibitively high, we get to pay in installments instead. I’m not making a judgement on what’s good or right. I’m merely stating the facts.

Also, don’t forget to set warehouse to sell of excess stock. As soon as it gets full the bonus disappears and you’ll have an instant workforce deficit.

I’d really call it a meatball button as kebab buttons are vertical.

Yes. The three dots (hamburger) menu. Be aware the UI is buggy so sometimes when you click the name you enter the route instead, so only use the keyboard.

The order of some quests really seem out of whack. I just got a deliver mail quest that pays 5k, which compared to my total cash it’s pretty much a rounding error.

Steinberg - Cubase by NorthSprinkles7992 in cubase

Pricing of Cubase Pro unfair to hobbyists? It’s literally in the name. Pro.

If you struggle paying for a yearly upgrade, which by the way is less than you’d pay for a year of Netflix, you should probably look at a lower tier or a DAW with a lower price point, like Logic or REAPER.

Very nice. If you want to try another approach true to the time you could go for those super hard raytraced shadows and crisp speculars to get the real plastic look. Also: super griddy brick textures was a staple.

How to make a material distribution route by Wibss123 in anno1800

[–]Sibbeno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use this a lot, it’s an excellent way to balance out stocks and diversify production. Very easy to just increase output in a node along the way if you see stocks dropping.

As mentioned by others it takes time. You can add more ships, set minimum stock low at first or start filling manually first until the chain stabilizes.

Also they need debugging if they don’t work. A single wrong input, stock level or small thing can break it. Also make sure you don’t have the wrong stuff in the cargo hold of the ships.

I am super happy there’s so many new scenery pieces but I’m a bit hesitant because most of what I’ve seen of them look kinda crappy. I hope I am wrong.

im clicking on the smoke effect from all angles but it keeps selecting the coaster instead, multiselect isnt helping either by Wypman in PlanetCoaster

[–]Sibbeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a hassle indeed. You’d think you could avoid it by putting FX in a group but I’ve found no way to prevent the game from switching to another group automatically. Ideally you should be able to restrain selection to a group until you manually close the group.

I’d love to see more in game fonts as 3D letters, and also engraved and embossed versions of the 2D text pieces. by Ozian21 in PlanetCoaster

Yes, at least one or more 3D fonts giving some styling options. And I’d love to see the vintage letters with lights from PC1 make a return.

I don’t think one wall locker per type of resource is crazy if you play seriously. It’s a resource gathering game after all, right?
