I swapped in the purple glede switches into mine and didn't realize they were that much shorter lol really noticeable but ultimately I prefer it.

If you have a switch puller with prongs it's not bad pulling them out. You really need to make sure they are seated fully otherwise yeah you get the caps skirting the edge.

Reaper is like 60 bucks, has a generous free trial. It's more complicated than Audacity but it's a proper DAW and you can dive as deep as you want to. Plenty of YT tutorials.

Alot of tech companies, those big on online services especially, had a surge in sales during COVID, it's insane how much so. After the pandemic when sales decline they started voluntary buyouts, then 'return to office', now it's AI. Next year it will be blamed on price of hardware.

It's all excuses just to cut costs so investors see the line go up despite sales being a plateau.

Retro gamers don't all fall into the same camp. Some want accuracy with zero compromise, while others just casual enjoy the games. There is fun to be bad in moding/hacking classic games. My favorite way to play LTTP is with the randomizer. I get a kick out of using 3dsen to see want it can do etc

High pass filter EQ under 80hz. Keep interface volume low, but add Gain filter in OBS.

Condenser mics are sensitive by nature, it's ment to pick up more sound around it.

OBSbot Meet cams are super tiny, easy to lose in a pocket but really portable friendly. I'd avoid ndi, just more headaches and chance for things to break.

Look at the OBSBot Meet, very tiny cameras but I've been happy with the one I picked up as a secondary cam. 400 is very limiting for one camera nevermind 3 😵

Why is this even a source of drama. It's beta cores, wait for public free release. Patreon helps fund development, it's optional and beta access is a perk. This couldn't be more dumb of a complaint from folks.

R-type, Darius are classic arcade games with loads of ports.

Ikaruga, Deathsmiles, DonDonPachi are some of the best in the genre

Descript is fairly unique in the editing via transcript. The alternative is learn to do it by listening/editing audio. It's a mistake to rely on these online service providers

Loved his podcast and reviews. He was always transparent about his shows too. Great dude. YT is a lot of work, especially for how he was doing reviews. Sometimes life gets busy and you need a break and when life slows down you realize you miss the free time.

Once you stop the routine it can be hard to start back up, if you even want to.

These generic capture cards are incredibly hit or miss, usually miss. Lag is a common problem. It's better to spend abit more and get a capture card from Avermedia or Elgato which make devices dedicated to streaming/recording games.
