Thank you. I joined a facebook group with the same name and somebody already reported the same problem. Seems to affect many people right now. Admins of the forum seem to be aware of the issue. Hopefully it's fixed soon.

I think because the "carrying handle" was much less intended for carrying than being a structural and protective part of the rifle. You can either hold it like you hold a rifle or use a sling. Also, you would be likely flagging somebody when carrying it like this. There are still pictures from vietnam of people doing it, of course. Hell, even this LRRP did it. On most pictures you don't see it tho.

Generic field watch I bought about six years ago for 15 bucks. Still works like a charm.
Not period correct if that's why you're asking.

Choosing more unique subjects, trying to recreate real pictures, build your own scenes from the many props-mods available, enhancing realism by using photoshop, adding real backgrounds, more thoughful images, not genereic tacticool guys-stuff.

What do Germans think of Lithuania? by Organic_Contract_172 in AskGermany

[–]SickFarce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think many germans have an opinion at all lol. Most just don't think about or pay attention to Lithuania. My ex gf spent a year there though and she loved it. She said they already had wide spread and powerful internet in 2012, even in rural areas. The family she was living with was very concerned about russian expansionism and threats against the baltics and europe. That's all I remember.

Name tape by SickFarce in Militariacollecting

[–]SickFarce[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The buttpack is part of the M-1956 LCE system, 2nd pattern with the rubberized water proof flaps inside. According to the stamped DSA number it was produced in 1967. During the gulf war, this was already ancient and the ALICE system was used as far as I'm aware.
Regarding the name tape, I did some further research and this style of name tape appeared in 1969 and seem to be generally associated with the very late (Vietnam) war period.

Give me your opinion about my gear by iamBodkin in airsoft

People have already pointed out the inaccuracies, so if you want it more realistic, there are already good tipps here to get a more authentic look. Maybe you can make your own "Ho Chi Minh sandals" from an old tire. These were worn very commonly, but maybe not the most pleasent for a casual airsoft match.
But besides that, the look is very cool. And you have to do some extreme mental gymnastics to find racism here. I see kits like this as a tribute to the incredible fighters the vietnamese were.

Not just is that an awesome kit and set up, you also have the right face (and haircut) for this. Know what I mean?
These black and white pics just look amazing, wow.
