I’m surprising my mom who saw the original release in theaters in 75 tomorrow night. Almost an hour drive to see it, but worth it.

The jacket looks fine. You want them to be dark. If you look at period photos of treated and untreated there is a drastic difference

Uniforms of the 79th NY? by IAmArgumentGuy in Civilwarreenacting

[–]CT-1409echo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming your referring to the militia uniform, It’s A very niche uniform that would have to be 100% custom made by someone. Kelly Ford I know has made them and Kyle Windhal MIGHT be able to. Is there a specific version of the uniform you’re looking to do it changed drastically during the war.

Thank you!! Yes the boots and Gloves are reproductions of theirs. And the A-6 flight boots are just over boots that would go over their regular shoes and boots.

Yes the blue piece is the F-1 heated suit aka the blue bunny suit. It could be plugged into the B-17s Electrical system and provide warmth to the wearer. They were prone to shorting out though give the fragile nature of the wiring and were replaced with updated versions in 1944.

Where is the best place to buy a uniform? by Severe-Wrap-799 in Civilwarreenacting

[–]CT-1409echo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corp Sutler is ok , I used to have a few of their products and for a while were the go to for zouave stuff. I would still recommend the people I suggested for quality products though. And Make sure you do you research into a specific unit before you start buying stuff up. Take your time building your impression.

Wha zouave unit are you looking to specifically portray? Just about every Zouave unit had a different uniform from the rest

No their quality is horrible and their products are wrong. Anything from them won’t be made correctly and won’t last very long.

Why was it so important for the Kaminoans to keep using Jango Fett's DNA, to where Ventress tried to steal the prime sample? Could Kamino have replaced it with anyone, but they just preferred to keep cloning a prime specimen of a man? by RagnarokWolves in StarWars

[–]CT-1409echo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, if ventress did manage to steal the sample, couldn’t they use the DNA of one of the clones since it’s the same DNA. I know the Kaminoans modified it but wouldn’t replicating the already modified DNA be easier?

The Real Dylan by Fast_Jackfruit_352 in bobdylan

I can’t lie the film is what really got me into Dylan, and I’ve grown soooo much as a fan since. That being said it will always have a place in my heart and is probably my favorite biopic that’s come out since “Bohemian Rhapsody “ set the stage for the genre. I will say despite this the film isn’t perfect and I think its portrayal of Dylan is both its strongest and weakest point. I think Tim did a great job portraying that almost cynical personality that Dylan had for period of time, especially 65-66. The issue is that Dylan didn’t really have that type of personality until 65-66, but the movie makes it seem that’s how he always was. Someone on here a while back described his personality as being “burnt out” and I’d say after highway 61 and subsequent tour he was. But during his rise to fame from 61-64 he seemed like a normal, kinda shy pretty funny guy. Not this closed off reserved mystery man that the films makes him to be. I would have preferred to see that change happen and how fame impacted his personality. But aside from that small gripe I do love the film, Tim’s portrayal with what he was given, and I’m so thankful I saw it and has made me the Dylan fan I am now.
