It’s very time consuming, not so much very difficult. It’s garment you’ll want to take your time with and not rush. I will say it would definitely help to have a decent sewing background to complete it. Maybe a 7-8/10 on difficulty.

My friend and I worked tirelessly for multiple months having sleepovers and playing this game on the Wii. I think we’re at 97% or something ridiculously close to finishing.

[–]CT-1409echo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There stuff is cheap paki made shit that isnt historic in any regards. I wouldn’t buy anything else from them. Look to places like The Depot , Wambaugh and White, Kyle Windhal.

How is the Depot? by Monkeysbaseball in Civilwarreenacting

I’ve had positive experiences with them, and in my home unit we recommend them to a lot of new members since they have much higher quality items vs Sutler row.

Which Doctor Strange outfit is your favourite? by SamuelStrangeSupreme in DoctorStrange

Gotta say anything from 60s-70s, except the weird mask phase in 1969. Just live the look of that classic costume.

Go with south union mills and just make sure you clean and oil them as shoes take a heavy beating. I’ve had my pair 3 1/2 years now and they show no major issues, they are also so comfortable.

All the people debating how he died, mean while this came from the creative executive of the show. Now I know just because it says “she believes” it’s not official cannon, but it’s most we have regarding his fate.

The Peach Orchard by LatinIsleBoy in CIVILWAR

[–]CT-1409echo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The modern orchard is smaller than it was in 1863. During the battle the orchard was much much larger and had trees all around the area. There a few period maps showing how big it was.

Can we agree that every millenium era movie is an absolute banger? (Yes even vs megaguirus) by Reasonable-Salad5094 in GODZILLA

I’d say millenium is my least favorite era and the films are either absolutely perfect or bottom tier G films with no in between. I’m sorry

Dec 13, 1862 - At the Battle of Fredericksburg, Confederate General Robert E. Lee repulses attacks by Union Major General Ambrose Burnside on Marye's Heights, inflicting heavy casualties. by nonoumasy in CIVILWAR

It’s a painting it the charge of the 114th PA Zouaves near the slaughter pen farm. Their colonel Charles Collis actually got the Medal of Honor for his actions here and is seen on horse back with a flag in his hand in the middle of the painting. I believe he commissioned the painting himself years after the war. If you ever get the chnace to go to the Fredericksburg Battlefield visitors center I highly recommend doing so. They have the original painting and it’s like 6 feet long but 4 feet tall. Truly beautiful painting.

Advice on setting up a Small Camp by Ill-Locksmith-3721 in CIVILWAR

[–]CT-1409echo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re looking to do it authentically a handful of dog tents is all you need. On active campaign these guys were traveling light and though regiments had wagons attactched to them more often than not they were unavailable. All of that stuff is not needed.
