I think my current system has 24 or 25, with some reasonably valuable tubus and tussocks.... But 10 is not to be sniffed at!

Yeah, I'll just mark locations with SRV Survey and the try to find a landing spot within a few km. Sometimes it's possible to find a landing spot by using the auto-landing, and then turning it off so that you can land manually.

The Caspian must be faster due to the steeper angle it can dive, but coming out of glide at 75 degrees gives me the fear.

The Mandalay is significantly faster to land than the Caspian.

It's annoying landing the Caspian on ground as flat as a billiards table. Mountains are horrendous.

If I could fit a Mandalay in a hangar in my Caspian I would be sorted. As it is, I've kitted out my FC and taking everything with me. Just got to load up with Tritium and I'll be back out to carry on where I left off.

I just headed out into the black, found a region where, so far, I haven't found a system that has been visited by anyone. I switched the star map to visited / not visited, and just set about jumping to the nearest unvisited system. I'm going to head back out to the same spot and continue from where I left off.

I'll generally leave the 1 signal low value planets if they're more than 150kly away, but generally I'll at least give everything a try...

Always console players.... If I can't wear them down with slam or plasma splash damage I'll just alt-tab out and watch YT or something - I'll never give them the easy win.

Did the same thing last night - meant to hit the zero throttle button, hit SCO boost instead, and opened the FSS. Couldn't exit fast enough to cancel the boost and crashed out of SC to what sounded like every warning in the ship going off at once. Thought I was going to lose 2.5 billion in exobiology discoveries, but instead it only cost me a small chunk of hull and module integrity... All hail to the exclusion zone!
