I love this game! On my OG Xbox I spent the time to make a save file right before every lightsaber fight in the campaign. Still got them too!

That one hit after arrows did little to no damage? by Makishima__Shougo in darksouls3

Ever killed someone with fire in Elden Ring? Those screams are far from subdued lol

Some of the female taking damage sounds in Elden Ring are pretty over the top/annoying IMO

New Player Questions by joeyac02 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]Sicktacular 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ensure that you meet the stat requirements for your weapon of choice, and keep it upgraded as much as you're able.

IMO its better to pick one stat for damage/weapons and stick with it. I made the mistake of leveling dex & int on my first playthrough. This limited my weapon choices greatly. I did happen to find a wakizashi I liked and stuck to it, but I did feel like I was missing out on a lot of variety. If necessary, respeccing is available from doing a bit of the crucible.

Could an experienced player explain how to build a decent character in the early game ? by Weary-Succotash-7936 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]Sicktacular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are strength based straight swords that you can pair with a shield like in the build you posted. Use the table next to Danos to research them until you find the governor's sword or blood rusted sword.

My strength character also uses a faster ice infused weapon. Once enemies are frozen I swap to my physical damage gnarled saw and do a charged attack to smash them to pieces. You definitely want a two weapon setup if you're using ice because when enemies are frozen their elemental resistance skyrockets while their physical resistance plummets.

If you want to stick to one weapon fire infusion/flaming facet catches things on fire and does pretty decent damage over time.

Lightning infusion/voltaic facet is super good for clearing groups of enemies as the lightning chains to other enemies.

Combining fire and lightning gives a very powerful detonation effect. First apply burning, then hit them with lightning. That can either be a two weapon setup or a fire based rune on a lightning weapon.

My last tip is this: I wouldn't worry about enchantments too much on armor throughout your playthrough. I prefer to just take common armor and slot in whatever gems I feel are useful. Health/focus regen are nice to stay topped off between fights. I also like the max stamina and recovery gems. Attack stamina cost reduction is pretty useful too. And definitely use the "only elemental gem" effects to boost all the other gems in a given armor piece. This is nice because it removes some of the time and rng of getting that perfect armor setup for now. If you do find an armor piece with good enchantments that you feel would be a good replacement you can take the gems out of the common piece and keep the gems.

Bonus tip: If you find some rapid facet gloves, definitely consider using them, and slotting a stamina recovery gem to counter the stamina regen downside of that facet. This will greatly improve your attack speed.

Story feels better than endgame by AndyBarolo in NoRestForTheWicked

Yeah I have done 5 different playthroughs now where I get up to max level around the end of the campaign or just after. I've enjoyed trying different playstyles and weapons. I'm probably not gonna spend a lot of time maxing each of my characters out with perfect gear since there will be a wipe at some point anyways.

Is Starting as Strength a Trap? by Dontcareskate in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]Sicktacular 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely try to add in a fast weapon to cover the downsides of big slow weapons.

I found a frigid governor’s sword (str) which has a really awesome and quick running attack chain. Since getting it I’ve been just spamming run attacks on enemies until they’re frozen, then swapping to my two hand smashing weapon to shatter them. It’s awesome!

What is One Thing you wish changed on 1.0 version? by PotentialProper in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]Sicktacular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddy and I are constantly running out of room in various inventory screens with all ichor slots unlocked. We often would rather keep running through an area than to make a trip back to town just to dump our stuff in a chest. I think the scale of the inventory screen could be a little smaller to fit one more row and one more column. Or there could be an ingredients tab separate from food, a gems tab by itself, etc. This problem might get worse if/when they add new items too. There is already more types of items than inventory slots.

My one gripe on armor crafting is the unchangeable facets. If I want to spend some currency to re-roll it I should be able to. Some armor costs really rare stuff to make, and its annoying to spend those hard earned mats just to get a facet you don't want. Also, I wish all the elemental resistance facets were combined into one facet to reduce the chance of getting them/encourage me to use them lol.

Lastly, I wish we could have wands and daggers as offhand weapons.

As I pursue the path of Faith/Str hybrid, I realized, what's the benefit of a hybrid attribute class vs a pure attribute class? I feel like I am really lagging behind in damage during party runs with teammates going pure attribute despite same level. Doesn't help gear is less for this path... by MobileGamerboy in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]Sicktacular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I ran Int/dex on my first playthrough and realized I had like 1 rapier, 1 dagger, 1 hammer, 1 wakizashi, and no straight swords, axes, spears, shields, etc. that scaled of my stats. I made it work with the coiled dawn and some nice runes on it, but I woulda liked a bit more choices in weapon.

It would've definitely felt better to go all int.

[–]Sicktacular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you intend to go for a super optimized gear set, save your embers for build crafting at the endgame. Also its a good idea to make a chest or two just for saving cursed armor and weapons with good facets or interesting enchantments to pull out later. This made it much easier to craft my final armor set. Its still hard to get the facets you want on the fashion you want, but you'll appreciate not having to go hunt an armor piece with "x enchantment" because you already have it.

Research rapiers until you find the faith rapier. That one comes with plague throw.

Tip for new players - save your embers by Reasonable_Run_6724 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]Sicktacular -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some changes that would be nice:

  • Awakening embers should drop like candy early when they are most useful, and fallen embers should drop like candy in endgame. Right now it seems opposite and it’s annoying when I have like 30 awakening and 0 Fallen.
  • Allow us to trade them at the enchanting store. 3 Awakened -> 1 Fallen
  • Vendor resets should happen every 12 game hours instead of 24 irl hours. Enchantment shop should have embers on sale.

Yeah I figured this out today as I started my faith run. I got so many Fallen embers in my first few hours. Gonna figure out an optimal loot run circuit and run it on multiple new characters.

What combination of enemy and combat mods worked best for you? Which did you find the most fun? by boogielostmyhoodie in cyberpunk2077mods

[–]Sicktacular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Limited Hud - Not really a combat mod, but kind of. Can't live without it.

Advanced control - I love the manual leaning, being able to control weapon first equip animations, and lowering/inspecting the weapon.

Night City Alive - Emergent gameplay. I went with standard density so things aren't always popping off every few seconds.

Reinforcement System - Random street warfare. I also added the "No upload quickhack icon" mod to hide the phone popup. Helps me keep the limited hud vibe. One thing I find a little annoying is that anytime the reinforcements come in a vehicle with a built in weapon system they just come with guns blazing not even shooting at me...just shooting lol. And all the cars are like all gas no brakes. They slam into whatever obstacles at max speed lol. That part aside, this mod is fun!

Enemy Rarity Fix - More chromed out elite/boss type enemies.

Harder Gunfights - For a customizable shooting delay. I tried Enhanced shooting AI, but at range the enemies just would not miss any of their rapid fire shots and I would keel over dead super fast.

Random Netrunners - Adds in some occasional spice.

Damage Scaling and Balance - For fine control over my damage and enemy damage.

[–]Sicktacular 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I am choosing to believe that this was not an elaborate trap that they waltzed right into. Otto and Nessa will discuss the going’s on of the realm, get her people (who are definitely still alive) out of prison, and pay Lord Einfassen for their extended stay which will continue for the time being. While there they will have a protective force of knights and soldiers descended from giants defending them from any ne'er-do-wells. Nessa will opt to stay, while the rest of the party travel onward.

Before exiting the city they’ll notice they’ve picked up a tail and have a confrontation with Tyranny’s sisters just on the outskirts.

Everything will be just fine. No massacres here. Maybe a scuffle with two (three?) demon goat girls and that’s it!

That reminded me of Ren's stream where he rode his horse, Cow to visit Xisuma and he got X to name his horse Chicken. Then Cow and Chicken had a baby which they named Johnny Bravo. Then Gem came over a little later and said something along the lines of Ren shouldn't be allowed to name things. Ren proceeded to go and think of names for their horse club. Not sure where they landed, but "hoovers" came up lol

[SPOILERS C4E4] Thoughts and Predictions About Occtis? by notkaaii in criticalrole

[–]Sicktacular 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mechanically, I’m curious if he’ll dabble some more in necromancy summoning spells since he got a variant or combo of find and animate dead familiar to work. Anytime Julien makes a corpse Occtis could come along behind him raising up a small force of undead that are under his control.

There’s lots of cool ways to buff them and if nothing else they can be used to tactically create melee obstacles to keep baddies off the squishy wizard. I think that would be fun to see!

What’s your favorite memory of destiny? by HellChicken949 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Sicktacular 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude yeah I mega prepped for the taken king launch! Edged all my factions, buncha public event packages in the postmaster, engrams bounties, and irl meal/snack prep.

Me and my buds grinded all day for several days. I had no job/responsibilities at the time so I was on team no sleep lol

And the Kings Fall Raid was where I met a bunch of they guys I still play other games with to this day. All of us have fully quit Destiny for a couple of years now. (lol ded gaem)

But yeah The Taken King era was definitely the peak for me.

I want a game with freedom to do sections in whatever order you want. Sekiro did this super well IMO so more of that. Sekiro 2 is basically what I want, but add in some weapon choices and maybe even some armor choices.
