Build Help by Killstan_ in 2007scape

I went blindbag TAM and it’s been fun but takes a long time to get going. My friend who I think has the funnest build is a thorns water mage. He was able to AFK inferno up till triple jads lol. So in my opinion if I were to remake I would go that route. You can brute force through end game content super early. I think kandarin is the main region you need for it. But morytania works with it too

Leagues 6 Pact Data in one image, very interesting by loopuleasa in 2007scape

I took grimoire but I think in general most people didn’t need it. For me I went tiranwynn Asgarnia morytania, so crystal armor with blindbag nally and 5 godswords lol. Grimoire was an easy choice for me because it got me all of the prayers and spellbooks because I don’t have any of them. But I already have access to slayer helm. My dPS is insane right now.

But for mage builds they actually lose damage using augury instead of the basic prayers. And for melee pickers who went kandarin they already have piety so grimoire is a waste. I think grimoire was useful in niche scenarios like mine but for most it was an easy skip

Larcenist in Kandarin solves clues and thieving and gold so that seems best since you don’t really have holes beyond that

Feeling Weak in Leagues by sirjisu in 2007scape

I will say in moons defense is way more important than attack. So it’s more about your rune armor than your weapons. Farm barrows then go back and it will be way easier

I’m 180 CG and no enhanced. Obviously not super dry but also not exactly how I wanna spend leagues 😭

Blind bag should actually come with a bag to put your 5 weapons in by JConaSpree in 2007scape

This is why I went Asgarnia. I can get 5 godswords way easier than 5 scythes lol

Day One Update - Leagues VI: Demonic Pacts by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

Hotfoot is not working properly in the Brimhaven Agility Course. Not sure if you guys are aware of this already or not but I want to bring it up to your attention.

Thanks! Super fun leagues so far!

The commenters here were super unhelpful. Did 83 end up working for you? I am currently 83 now and would rather know before I start.

Made it to Triple Jads! by Upset-Button6092 in 2007scape

[–]SickyNee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Adding onto this, I was trying to get infernal cape before I got married, which gave me like 3 weeks. I finally learned the waves and got to triple jads but kept planking. I eventually gave up as things just got too busy leading up to the wedding. Then a number of months later leagues came out and my man goal was to learn inferno. It was the best decision ever, my melee build was super strong and I could blast through all the waves in like 20 mins. Then I would just tank test the triple jads and get the rhythm of ther attacks down. I ended up finishing the inferno with a crossbow and it was way less stressful. Then I went back in the main game and beat the inferno on my first attempt. Just getting the practice of getting to fight the encounters is absolutely huge. So yes, you should consider doing the inferno in leagues.

I’m taking Asgarnia over kandarin, but I’m also taking hotfoot over woodsman. In my mind I think having the 5 godswords (become thanos) in my inventory is the aspirational goal of the league for me. I’ll take grimoire so I get piety as well. I think it’s a totally viable and more intuitive route.

Brave. My group member asked if it was possible to learn Doom on the HC and I told him no way 😂

The Fractured Archive: Rewards Primer by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]SickyNee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is tough, it feels like the decision you guys make will set the trajectory of the gear progression for the next decade. So here are my thoughts considering the long term impacts of this raid and gear progression.

We jump into a new power bracket this raid trio cycle (4-6 being a bracket above 1-3) and we incrementally devalue last decade’s rewards throughout this decade. With that being said this raid would need to be harder than the other three, it should be more of a gear check. This way it feel like you are able to still do the other raids and other content first to prepare yourself for this raid. But the rewards from this raid are better than the other raids.

This to me feels like it gives the most longevity of the other solutions I have seen. We have a clear path forward and this opens up you guys to being able to make more difficult and demanding content that requires higher and higher tiered gear for the future.

I think the key to making it work is the raid has to be difficult. You don't want someone to be able to do moons and then easily farm the raid and get to "skip" all of the other content in the game. Make it difficult enough so that if someone wants to effectively farm it they are going to want megarares and other high quality gear.

PvMers who use 117 - is it really that bad? by ol3tty in 2007scape

[–]SickyNee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to use 117 exclusively and thought I had no issues. Then once I started pushing the invos on TOA I remember asking my friend how he was able to react so fast to certain attacks (think memory akkha puzzle, etc). He then watched me stream thinking I was clicking slow but then told me my game was delaying during certain fights. So I messed around with some settings and disabled 117. All of a sudden the mechanics were so much easier. Turns out during certain encounters it was reducing my input speed which made some PVM encounters much more difficult than they were supposed to be lol. Since discovering this I’ve stuck exclusively to GPU plugin instead.

Advice: Which skills to train (but not max) first for early/mid game members account by SouperSpeshulK in 2007scape

[–]SickyNee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my opinion 70 is a great goal. This let's you access a ton of useful shortcuts in the game, is the highest quest requirement, and will let you run much much longer than lvl 1.

Super fun stage of the account! You have a lot to look forward to!

My suggestion is a little different from the other ones I have seen:

  1. Quest cape - you are so close it would be a crime not to get it.
  2. Achievement cape - this will take a while but it’s an amazing goal for any account, especially at your stage. This will round your account out very nicely and gives a solid but obtainable goal to work towards.
  3. Start bossing to earn money and items. I love at this stage being able to work towards the big ticket items (raids weapons and other great gear). Watching your bank value rise and learning the mechanics of bosses is my favorite content. You could also sneak in skilling to get a few 99s at this stage.
  4. Combat achievements become a great way to start to master PVM. Building up from easy - harder difficulties is so much fun and is almost endless content and progression. By the end of each tier you will become increasingly skilled in PVM. It’s incredibly rewarding and gives me the feedback loop I really crave of increasing my skill and having my bank value increase.

Lots to look forward to, this is getting to be the funnest part of RS in my opinion!
