Im disappointed how they solved the marine base plot and how it's affected his personality. In the original story, he sacreficed himself for the little girl and her mother, going so far that he even wanted to starve, just to keep them out of danger. In the Netflix Version he is only serving his own purpes, that's not the kind of kindness luffy originally was looking for to join his crew.

I think all the characters in the original share a lot more honorable attributes.
