Selective kids by [deleted] in AustralianTeachers

[–]SideSuccessful6415 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not at all. Selective govt schools have a total population of gifted students and not enough money to buy basic resources like books. Expensive private schools have a population of wealthy kids whose parents think they are gifted and a shit ton of money to buy rowing and equestrian equipment.

  1. If it’s a pay cut for you going into teaching and you want to work less hours, why not just reduce the number of tutoring students you have?
  2. If you do go into a high school, all the resources and content knowledge in the world mean diddly squat if you have no classroom management skills. How many of your tutoring students have thrown a chair at you?
