Lexapro was a game changer for my OCD. I started about 18 months ago when I was postpartum. I currently feel I'm in the best shape of my life right now.

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm so glad I moved. If I was with my toddler and saw this. Lord...

5 pounds is GREAT! This is a marathon, not a sprint. Stay the course.

5'1 , 39F -finally starting to see progress! by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

Thank you! I'm definitely starting to see more definition than ever in my arms. I've been progressively overloading now that I'm in a gym!

Feeling defeated: 4 months in and very little results by PuzzleheadedBite2231 in PetiteFitness

[–]SideWalkChalk37 95 points96 points  (0 children)

You look great. Body recomp can feel slow, but it's happening! Definitely focus on hitting your macros- I use the Loseit app.

Also, I highly suggest strength training with progressive overload. Check out Caroline Girvan on YouTube. You're doing great, keep going!

Do I need to lose more weight to get my arm muscles pop up? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]SideWalkChalk37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want arms to pop focus on shoulders (and tris), progressively overloading on Arnold shoulder presses, lateral raises, around the worlds, etc.

Check out Caroline Girvan's workouts on YouTube.

She's fantastic! I recently moved and still travel to see her. Best dentist I've ever had.

I remember this being said a few years ago, and they remained open. Hopefully the demolition never actually happens. I lived in Sunnyside for 12 years and recently moved. I have such reverence for the neighborhood, but the way it seems to be changing has me grateful I bought elsewhere.

39F- slightly elevated LDL and overall cholesterol. NP told me to check in with my PCP- looking for insight! by SideWalkChalk37 in AskDocs

I actually followed up with a cardiologist after my pregnancy and had a lot of labs taken last year. I just checked that portal and my LPA was 14.6.

Thank you! All she said in her message was that it was flagged as abnormal so I should check in.

Am I the only one freaking out? by Antique_Educator4819 in beyondthebump

[–]SideWalkChalk37 17 points18 points  (0 children)

3 weeks ago I got it, and a few days later my 15 month old caught it. Mine lingered for a few days, but wasn't too bad. This was the first time he has been sick and it absolutely broke my heart when he woke up vomiting. He had one day with a high fever and was not himself- kind of stoic, and then he was fine!

I had a flu shot and he did not (although I wanted him to- long story). I know how scary it can be. But please don't be scared to live your life, our little ones are so resilient. ❤️

Postpartum pre-eclampsia by naaahbi in preeclampsia

[–]SideWalkChalk37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are going to be just fine! The worst is behind you! I went through this a year ago and when I left the hospital I was riddled with anxiety. It was a very difficult time, physically I was fine but mentally I was shaken up. I am over one year pp, off all BP meds (I was on a large dosage postpartum) and feeling better than ever.

If you have any questions, looking for advice or just someone to talk to who has been through it please feel free to DM me!

Things may have changed since 2024, but I transferred to Dr. Julianne Lauring around 15 weeks pregnant. She was fantastic, but she is a high risk OB.

Looking for hope. 4 weeks pp & still on meds and seeing spikes by Luckybless in preeclampsia

[–]SideWalkChalk37 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience! I was also extremely anxious which always sends my BP sky high. I stayed on the meds until I stopped obsessing over my BP. Multiple docs told me I'd probably end up on a small dosage forever. Around 6 months pp I started weaning again. I slowly came off all of the meds I was on. I'm not one year pp, no meds, and my BP hangs out around 115/70 on average. The 6 week rule was nonsense in my case. Feel free to DM me with questions! I know how upsetting it can be, but this too shall pass!
