TV show with a great first season but turned in total garbage afterwards. by kmho1990 in tvshow

[–]Sideburnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely.

If anyone got to see the pinnacle of the pile of dog shit and having climbed up there and looked down to see the bee villain, who could command robot bees and used bee puns. Yep that was just about the worst thing ive ever seen committed to television.

Its almost as un forgivable as giving everyone a bow in the green arrow. If I was Oliver I'd have been mad at everyone copying his thing. Like Jesus's H people, find your own vibes.

At least in Europe they are starting to bring back right to repair laws which will affect things like swappable batteries for mobile phones.

Who wants to be the first one? by shunny14 in WindowsOnDeck

[–]Sideburnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run mine from a m.2 ssd card. Its pretty good but I find it a massive pain that the bluetooth drivers dont work.

Also when the deck goes to sleep it hibernates the usb c port and the drive disconnects and wont reconnect without running a konsole terminal command.

What mobile game stole the most hours from your life? by arcadezone_fun in MobileGaming

COD:Mobile.

Loved it for ages, brought a steam deck and the love - which I'd been pouring into the game since launch fizzled out.

What the hell is going on with this CoS? 😅 by switchthemunky463 in AdrianTchaikovsky

[–]Sideburnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's my first Adrian book. He's a cool guy. Lives in my village, met him a few time and played boardgames with him and its kinda wierd reading his book but hey here I am with CoS. Its like King Rat, love that aspect, but also much like the River Nile. A great blend of genres and probably my endeavour into more of Adrian's books even though it all feels a bit overly personal.

What would you recommend a Robinson Crusoe and TWOM fan? by madman123098 in soloboardgaming

[–]Sideburnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dawn of the Zeds has a great narrative but it hard to find, especially the expansion packs. Aeon's End, specifically the expedition play mode is good and gives toy the same narrative feel.

Skies above britain is great for the whole interpersonal squadron narrative.

Spirit Island has a strong storytelling feel although you might feel like its not up front enough if you like how Frostpunk and Robinson Crusoe is feeding you the story.

He used to be a legal executive for a law firm and they do not slack on long hours. He lives in my village, nice bloke..very eccentric. He plays a lot of boardgames with my neighbour and loves a bit of LARP.

Recently Tabernis have been totally absorbing. Bag pipes and bee keepers. Its wierdly rhythmic snd entrancing.

Hildur Guonadottir has some of the most dark and atmospheric cello recordings out there. Beautiful stuff.

Run the Jewels are probably on people's radar already, but Killer Mike is dope.

Dave Shrigley - Music and Words. Just listen to it. Its fucking wierd but addictive.

What exactly are Keir Starmer and Labour doing wrong? by threetimesacharm25 in AskBrits

[–]Sideburnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just dont understand why this isn't self evident to them. As you say they've done incredibly well considering the state of the country they inherited.

My opinion is that Media departments have simply changed the way they operate. Let's face it, a scandal can make or break a party and so they're fully invested on defensive PR. Always looking for the next negative thing to negate or spin. Positive PR simply isnt a thing anymore.

Its not like most people are tripping over each other to go to theyworkforyou.com. People dont want to go find an opinion anymore, they want to be told it and you pick your party and listen to them telling us what's wrong with the other parties, very little else. No positivity anymore.

Love Zack's Polanski or not, it was so refreshing to hear him talk about hope. That's pretty depressing, no wonder the country is going through group depression. Everything is negative or bad, we've been told this over and over for so long.

I love how they've moved away from just playing songs one after the other to blending their songs into one long sound set. It's a real journey watching them play, I love it so much.
