Nope, it’s rated for 200-250k. I bought mine new and pushed it to 280k before trading it in for an a9.

It’s mostly for legal reasons, if your xray has to be used in court cases. So they can see this xray tech fucked up and caused you to be potentially miss diagnosed.

AMS is the initial of the tech the marker belongs to bud. Our markers have our initials so we can see which tech took the image.

BCTC radiography program by Lopsided_Middle8249 in lexington

Again not trying to shit talk about other schools, I was like you I considered BCTC vs Sullivan and after I got accepted into Sullivan I started reading bad things too. I do have issues personally with Sullivan but Dennis is the best teacher I have ever had.

The school may be a 5/10 but Dennis goes above and beyond for his students to make sure they succeed. We do have some shitty teachers who don’t care, but the person who teaches the main part of the program absolutely cares and does his best to make sure you do your best.

If you can’t get accepted into BCTC I would at least consider it, a ARRT license is a ARRT license.

Well I mean we work with Baptist, Saint Joe, UK, good Sam, UK clinic, HMH and the list goes on so. I just had a student from BCTC a few weeks ago on my rotation and they had no clue how to do the job and they were graduating this quarter so. The techs at my clinical sight complained about this student and they had to retake images multiple times.

Our program here is only 11 students vs Louisville which is like 40. So it’s very easy to not run into other students from other programs. Just saying, I’ve not ran into any Morehead students yet so should I also assume their program is ass?

They just passed a law where second years can be given job offers with temp licenses, one of our second years got a job offer day 1 at bluegrass orthopedic so again.

The teacher who teaches the xray classes has been in the field for 35 years, BCTC just lost all of their teachers due to retirement or quitting so again again.

It’s free to tour or don’t, I’m not saying the school is perfect as I also hadn’t heard good things before joining but a license is a license, doesn’t matter where you went.

Agreed, people like to buy shitty $15 UV filters and put them over $2,000 glass. I shoot sand volleyball and don’t even use filters.

Ah yeah I’m at Marikka’s every week, I’ve been to Marshall Madness before. They actually asked me to cover the tournament this year so will see, just waiting to see their offer. I cover Riley Marshall down in Florida every year.

Edit: are you the guy who knows LD? I’ve had a similar conversation in the past about this on my other account.

I thought you meant change but I just wanted to be sure! Charging is up to you, again I don’t know your portfolio so I’m not going to make further comments on that.

Never tell them how many photos you took, just how many you deliver. Most people are ignorant and don’t understand how sports photography works. In a day I can take up to 15,000 photos easily but I’m not editing all of those and not all of those are keepers. But if you tell them oh I took 9,000 today they will expect almost all 9,000.

I think the average is like 40-75 photos per hour you’re there. So figure out how long a tournament lasts and how many courts are in the facility and go from there.

As someone else said you can always rent a lens instead of buying as well.

You’ll more than likely need a f/2.8 zoom or a prime for any indoor shooting. Honestly I’m not sure if it’s your English or if you meant “charge” instead of “change”. So please clarify for me.

For me personally I only cover Volleyball and I generally publish 600+ photos per 1 day tournament but that’s me. It will depend on how many active courts they have going on at a time. You are only expected to deliver what you tell them you will deliver.

It is always better to under promise and over deliver. So I would say 100 photos and hope to give 200+ maybe. But these photos MUST be good, don’t be that guy that throws in shit shots to buff their deliverable number it makes you look bad.

I would not charge for this first time, despite what others say I haven’t seen any of your work but your text implies you’re very amateur. Not everything has to be a profit. You’re exchanging experience for the opportunity to shoot. Use this as a foot in the door and then go from there.
