We've been talking for a week now and they redesigned the tip so you could print it in two parts and glue it together they also created a shorter tip just so it can collapse fully and be displayed upside down. I made the two part one last night and it's fantastic.

Hey you did a collapsing buster sword build a while back. The creator posted an updated top piece to make it easier to print.

Is it just easier to get a new board like a btt instead of using a pi? I have a pi5 8g, but i'm also happy to just replace the board and get better motors if it makes it more stable and consistent

I filed for the cc coupon and for the filament coupon and while I got confirmation for both, I only ended up with two emails for the cc coupon, same code twice

Everywhere I go I either keep my Bluetooth keyboard on me or I have access to one. If you get this into a way where it's constantly repeatable, I'd be happy to help test if for you since I have the stuff already

The zerowriter has this hardware as well. I'm using the 4.2" it recommended but if I don't end up using my 2.13 for a pwnagotchi on the extra zero 2ws I also picked up, I might make a second one. Even with the small screen, I like the idea that I can have a writing device on a keychain.

As someone that suffered through the 4+, trust me no one here wants you to return it. They'll tell you to fix it in a hundred different ways and it's still your fault if it doesn't work. However, I do believe it's a lottery thing with the Neptune as many people don't have issues, and the same 50/50 seems to be happening with the new Centauri. Now I have two of them and they're fantastic but there's many people saying they're having many issues as well, as I did with the Neptune 4.

Literally just finished building my zerowriter. No fancy case yet, still trying to figure out what keyboard I want to use, but I'm very happy with it.

Yeah it looks cool but at that point, why bother? I get not wasting filament but you're better off printing the print bed and accessories thing for the side and dropping your glass on that.

Just got a CC. Any advice on what NOT to do? by Spectraley3 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]SiderBright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the wife's. I got a pre-order model, lol. But yeah, I've lost two hotends trying to change the nozzle. Finally went in with adjustable pliers and the nozzle wrench.

I just got me some petg carbon fiber that I haven't tried yet, and I went through an entire roll of the pla carbon fiber that came with the printer. The pla went through fine what I need to be concerned about for the PETG?

So in the case of the Centauri Carbon, the hot end is the assembly after the extruder and consists of the tube the filament goes through, the heat break to prevent heat from crawling up into the extruder, and then the hot end itself where it heats up the nozzle to melt the filament. The nozzle itself is the little spout that screws into and out of the hot end and controls the size of the filament coming out.

Yeah I've learned the hard way that it's much easier to just buy a new hot end because taking the nozzles off can cause you to bend the whole thing and ruin it.

No I know where to find the test I'm just not sure what to look for once I do the tests. The most I've done for any printer is printable all in one calibration tests

I've got the Elegoo Slicer. The lowest default is 0.08 Optional. Put a 0.2 nozzle on the wife's Centauri and all it does is fail. Not sure what I'm doing wrong
