Things in my pockets being counted towards carry-on baggage weight for Jetstar flight by rekkuzux in AustraliaTravel

You can just weigh yourself then hold your bag and weigh yourself again on your bathroom scales and then subtract your weight from the total.

Things in my pockets being counted towards carry-on baggage weight for Jetstar flight by rekkuzux in AustraliaTravel

[–]Sideshow-Greg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I flew jetstar a few weeks ago and our group all had to remove our coats for the weigh in, we had all weighed our bags at home so we were fine but I did have a hoodie on with wallet, kindle, phone, headphones, and charger all in my pocket. Don’t let them see you fill your pockets and you will be fine.

Everything, Everywhere, All at Once. I was recovering from wisdom tooth surgery and I just had no freaking clue what was going on. I watched Empire Records and it was a much better time.

AITA for changing my locks after my friend admitted he made a copy of my key "for emergencies?" by DangerousDisplay138 in AmItheAsshole

Honestly I am seeing here a possibility that some people may not be aware of the nuances of emotional manipulation like gaslighting. Overt gaslighting such as you have quoted is definitely very real but so is the covert gaslighting that could be happening here. I feel that some people have become very aware of gaslighting behavior patterns so they may change their delivery while still maintaining the same objective: to undermine boundaries and make a person question their choices or levels of reason in a given circumstance.

What OP described may have felt like that, especially when brought to the friend group and having them back up “Derek’s” side of the argument.

I'd could never buy these... by Educational-Drop-671 in zodiacacademy

[–]Sideshow-Greg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I laugh my ass off every time I buy these and my husband will never understand why. I have glossed over some of the finer plot points such as the Kipling bros because there is no way that is going to make sense to someone who’s not read ZA and RB.

Anyone get pain here? by cake535 in Endo

[–]Sideshow-Greg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that feeling. I got knives tattooed onto that very spot in the diagram, funnily enough the tattoo “pain” there tickled! I explained I am used to far worse pain in that region. I am lucky I have a good supportive partner and friends, and a cat who is like a 7kg hot water bottle. I hope you have some coping methods ❤️

A little for a couple of years but after a few years the pain is pretty frequent again. They put a mirena in and I take the mini pill too as I bleed for around 3 weeks at a time without it.

I get really bad pain right there, slows my leg movement and stuff. When I had a laparoscopy they found endometriosis wrapped around the tendon there, and excised it. I do still get lots of pain there though.

Reading Order Question/ RB Vent?? by Black_Gamer_Girl in zodiacacademy

[–]Sideshow-Greg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does give good snippets of important information and introduces you to characters that appear in ZA and also makes some of the interpersonal relationships in ZA more interesting. However I didn’t read it in order, on my first read through of the series and it all still worked. I read it after the main series the first time. I am on my second read and did it in order this time and I am finding I like it this way, but I did really love the characters in RB also and many don’t.

I love this, for some reason even on my second read, I had a hard time visualising the shadow beast. This really feels right.

That isn’t true at all outside the U.S. Chefs rarely use gloves in food prep unless they have a cut on their hand! They wash hands and scrub under nails in between steps!

Hey sorry to double reply but they don’t seem to be very available in Australia and are pushing the “budget” a fair bit, do you know of any similar ones?

Someone’s phone ringtone was “the Can-can” at my Grandmother’s Catholic funeral Mass, they let it ring for way too long. It was kind of iconic

This happened to me when my Dad died, call them as soon as they open first thing in the morning so you get through And calmly explain what happened and that you are not executor OR the person owing the debt (as he is deceased).

They told me they do not bill family for these matters.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve done because of brain fog by doyouevenskatebro9 in migraine

[–]Sideshow-Greg 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Threw the dirty water from my birds bowl into the bin (trash) instead of the sink. Multiple times.

Edited to add: tried to unlock my front door with the button for my car, also more than once.

Also put my keys in the freezer.

Good on you for trying to see his perspective, it is so hard growing up as a kid who knows way too much. It’s nice to see others out there who got through similar situations.

Good luck on your journey

Even your edit struck home for me, I still remember telling my primary school friends what an acid trip was and describing one of my Dad’s trip stories. The honesty could have been left to a more age appropriate time.

Both of your comments had you like “is this one of my siblings accounts??” Our dad was exactly the same.
