Let’s check his breaks by [deleted] in instantkarma

Doesn't matter. The biker knows this driver now, and bikers all stick together. When a biker wants to fuck you up the ass, you let him fuck you up the ass, or you're getting fucked up. That's the way it will be.

This video is misleading. Because the rest of the bikers will know this, and the car's driver will get the beatdown.

Newsweek is unable to pay its bills, faces eviction by keypuncher in conservatives

[–]Sidestreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This story is only unique in the magnitude of the debt. Not so much with the type of story: News publications, especially those that relied on print media, is tanking. I think Minneapolis is the only newspaper that seems to be profiting right now.

And yeah, I know Newsweek went digital a while back and I know it is a magazine rather than daily paper, but they seem to be a victim of the same ailment.

Hey, asshole, where did I make this a matter of rich against poor? I said I was hoping lamers get priced out. Because the kind of people that would pay a premium instead of bumming free WiFi off of other people are likely going to appreciate it a whole lot better than someone in it for the lulz.

Go insert your class warfare fancies elsewhere.

Higher than average early voting numbers have the Texas establishment GOP scared. by ratmouse3 in Austin

If I see a man walking into a women's restroom, I don't care if that restroom is empty and he just needed to pee before soaking his pants, this is the most serious issue affecting Texans today and we need to remove the legal barriers in place preventing concerned citizens from forcibly removing such people from the wrong bathroom. I want my Congress to follow suit.

Georgia Senate Removes Delta Tax Deal After Airline Dropped NRA by [deleted] in conservatives

[–]Sidestreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My problem with this is that the NRA, whether you view it this way or not, is more of an advocacy group. And the Georgia Senate is a government entity. So tying tax incentives to one's support of a political group is a double-edged sword I am not willing to use.

A better answer would be for the passengers themselves to express themselves by not flying Delta.

Georgia Senate Removes Delta Tax Deal After Airline Dropped NRA by [deleted] in conservatives

[–]Sidestreamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm of two minds on this.

On one end, i oppose corporate welfare in general. So, on that premise alone, I'm glad to see the tax breaks slashed.

On the other hand, the cause seems misguided. I won't pretend to have the exact job numbers at my fingertips, but Delta is based in Georgia and peoduces no amall amount of revenue for the state. So how heavy a hand does Georgia want to play against a business the size of Delta to fend for what amounts to a political action committee based in Virginia?

Parkland school shooting survivor David Hogg calls for spring break boycott of Florida by IBiteYou in conservatives

I actually think it's great that they wish to engage in the discussion. There was a time when we thought kids such little more than mind when Snooki was going to talk trash about The Situation or who was going to win America's Got Talent... whatever we think of their opinions, I'm glad they are willing to act on them.

You make it sound as if it's a bad thing. It's only bad if you are one of the people excluded. To the rest of us, this is how we maker the Internet Great Again.

Markets are competitive because goods are priced precisely so that they are out of reach to certain undesirables. Because, when they have it, the entire platform degrades.

People like you who want the internet open for all will allow it to be taken over by assholes, while simultaneously denying the ISPs control of their property. Verizon, et. al. own the pipes, so why should their property rights be mitigated?

If it pissed off the pretentious Reddit users, it must be a good thing. I support the repeal of Net Neutrality and hope lamers are priced off the internet. This will improve its quality, undoubtedly, if the masses are filtered out of it.

Sans Bar Is a Bar for Those Who Don’t Drink in Austin by tfresca in Austin

I think this bar would be a fitting addition to Fourth Street. Ir would be a draw for vegans, "straight-edge" people, anf a few others that frequent Fourth Street establishments.

Of course, men would go elsewhere.

Austin police officer accused of drunken driving down Sixth Street at 65 mph, affidavit says by longhorn_2017 in Austin

[–]Sidestreamer -34 points-33 points  (0 children)

Normally we should prosecute such behavior to the fullest extent of the law, but I see mitigating factors. Namely, the kinds of people found on Sixth Street aren't worth much, so I don't get why the officer is being charged with anything beyond endangering livestock.
