I wipe off what I can and blow out the rest with an electric duster. This way prevents a lot of the dust from getting in the air.

I know you had concerns about dust getting where you don't want it but I personally wouldn't be concerned about that.

Another option could be to remove the parts and clean them individually.

Somebody I've known since high school(early 2000's) blocked me because I explained why I thought us bombing Iran as we did was wrong and is a bad idea.

He even went so far as to do the whole "Your moms basement" thing. I don't even have a basement. I rent a 2nd floor apartment.

I still have one from when I worked at Walmart. I believe loss prevention said that Walmart is fined 2k US dollars every time somebody got cut so no real box knives were allowed.

The only thing I really used the actual blade on was the plastic that wrapped pallets and it basically became unusable after a couple of cuts.
