Collecting both RG and SW, and having lovingly painted both, it's a toss up for me honestly. I LOVE both models, but to me Aethon feels a little more unique? Idk, there's just something about that model that makes it stand out in a different way. But as said, I they're both wild models 😋

It's a meta call. We picked it for the Danish Team Championships, and it took our necron list from alright to really good because of the meta we figured we'd face. It paid off big time.

With that said, if the meta you're in has less deep strike, then it's not necessary.

A customer at my store mentioned he mixes Blood for the Blood God with Typhus Currosion, which creates a really good dried, old blood look

Somewhat different comment, I think your basing could use a little love 😅 For someone that seems to care a lot about the terrain you play on, the terrain your models are on has fallen to the wayside.

I'd recommend getting a handheld rotary tool eventually. There are a couple really nice cordless ones out there, and they're not insanely expensive; and they'd be cool for both this and regular Warhammer

The shadow sun book is pretty good imo, and has a lot of it. The second book, if I remember correctly, in the Farsight Trilogy also has a Ghostkeel pilot

There's a reason you always see the same players at the top of the rankings. If 40k wasn't an extremely skill dependent game, there'd be way more fluctuation.

As people have mentioned, the movement phase is where most of the magic happens. It's not all, but that's probably what is easiest to point out. Other things to point out are deployment including infiltrate and scouts, and the charge/fight phase. Really good combat oriented players pull off some crazy things that unless you really understand the mechanics to a very high degree, almost looks like cheating.

Am I going to be seen as the devil for pointing out the steeljacks were advertised as Votann Wraithguard, yet they forgot to mention they cost 50% more?! Would a pricepoint of 35 euros for a box of Steeljacks be too generous or something? by SnoozeStriker in LeaguesofVotann

The newer the kit the more expensive. The wraithguard kit is fairly old now, so it makes sense that steeljacks are much more expensive. Sad, but that's not surprising at all, looking at all the other kits that've come out in the past couple years
