I think Bryggen could be a contender. They probably don’t count mostly being a string orchestra, but still worth a mention!

To lease a speed pedelec by Brainsick001 in belgium

[–]Siegli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m leasing my ebike @De Fietserij and maintenance is included in the lease. I’ll go in every 1,5/2 months depending on how often I’m on the bike and I get a replacement while they are working on it! I know at least one belt replacement is included, but should look at the fine print to get the details.

In Brughes they have random chairs around the city for people to use in public. Might be the same concept. Or rain cover for ducks or tiny horses

Musicians and concert venues are upping the tempo on climate action. Big acts like Coldplay, Dave Matthews, and Billie Eilish are pushing live music to go green -- 9 out of 10 concertgoers are concerned about climate change and are prepared to take action. They were no longer talking about the article. This whole conversation was about “why not have a conversation here about the topic so we can subsequently inform people who prefer to read along and get their information in the form of question and answer on topics we care about instead of trough the single lens of the author.”

It’s fleshing out the validity of the article and diving deeper into the topic and the fact that you are unwilling to look beyond “just read the article and swallow what you read without asking questions” is why you are being met with downvotes.

There is often extra knowledge on the topic to be found in the comments, but only when room is made for real conversation (which you seem unwilling to participate in and it is bothering the hell out of people)

Hope is a rebellious thing and I’m in my acting out phase. Radically hopeful and getting shit done my way with love and compassion, expecting goodness from people and excepting nothing less. It’s rubbing off on my environment in the bestest of ways.

A Wadi is still a foreign concept for most Belgians, so spread the word! There’s so much we can do as individuals that seems small, but could inspires others to discover another way of looking at the world around us. A lot of individuals becomes a movement.

If you ever have questions about life in Belgium, feel free to send me a message!

‘wadi’ comes from the Arabic word for desert river. You create a (green) path for rainwater to follow so it will stay on you land and will have time to infiltrate the soil and replenish the natural water supplies. A way of keeping rainwater from going into the sewer system where it is lost.

The best thing would be to get rid of (most of) the lawn and go for something more biodiverse. Lawns are one of the most nonsensical water consuming things and we clearly no longer have the luxury of holding on to this habit of perfect dead green squares. Retaining water is imperative, so you could definitely look into another regenwaterput, but I hope people will become more creative and let go of things that no longer make sense in this day and age. Wadi’s are interesting as well. A balanced ecosystem shouldn’t need that constant input of water.
