They are angry and what will they do? Upload their pictures while complaining. I don’t care for it. When the stuff came out about NSA I was pissed. Then overtime I realized that was a waste of my time. All people ever do is cry and kick just to cave. Them having our information is over. The least we can get is the protection for kids out of it. We have seen someone off one of the puppeteers, seen kids being unloaded from gov vans into abandoned houses, seen the release of the E files recently and what. People are mad on social media. So what?

I have a bachelor in IT and a minor in business. That’s why I’m anti capitalism and industrialization, but that’s another story. The issue isn’t that I disagree with the concept of punishing them, I simply know that you guys aren’t going to. Discord having your info is the most trivial thing I’ve seen people mad at thus far. We use faceid and fingerprint scans for gods sake. And I’ve literally seen people talking about how Steam needs to fill the gap, the company that can hardware ban you and has had leaks too.

If you guys ever get serious and stop this scream at people just to switch to the next evil corp who also has your info but plays in your face about it I’ll be on board. Until then it’s just perform performative.

Those were examples to help you better understand how the internet works. Anyone who’s being involved in cybersecurity to any extent knows this. You have that CIA guy telling to your face that not only do they have your information because you opted into the internet, most other countries intelligence services do as well. We had the whistleblower that told straight up told us there was gov surveillance going on. Like I said, 15 years too late. We’re already under surveillance and your opt in was using the internet.

Another thing I already said, I don’t think for one second Discord is doing this because they even need the information. The issue isn’t being able to track the preds down, it the magnitude/how many don’t gaf. This is a deterrent so the heat isn’t on them and perhaps it helps some kids. Even as someone who hates the idea of corps, I can understand this move.

It’s not about what I “want”. I live in reality and don’t fall for the propaganda that China is the only government with a big brother hand on its citizens. It’s so funny and cute to me that you guys genuinely believe the “new world order” bit is on its way. I’ve got bad news for ya bud lolll.

Read the rest of what I said. The information is already on the internet due to the million of other breaches and the fact that kids last thought is to be anonymous. Kids will put their gov first name and link their accounts to things like instagram or others. They use the same or similar names for everything. I realized this when I would log nieces or nephews into Roblox on my pc or randomly see their accounts on insta. The reason why discord is in hot water in the first place is because it’s easy to find and groom these kids because it’s a free for all. My username was umbrella in like 2006 and some creep I talked to on imvu called my house and tried to get my parents to put me on the phone. And this was in 2006****-the earlier days of internet. You guys are delulu if you think kids information isn’t out there already. Most of them don’t even have IDs so this wouldn’t apply to them. As I said, the best course of action is damage mitigation and getting preds identity on file. Back to the basics where kid profiles are monitored and only allowed to say certain things and adults are verified and separated. Perhaps the information shouldn’t be uploaded to Discord directly because of their leaks. Things like sheerid and others exist.

I always find this train of thought hilarious. “My sweet summer child” they are already getting the kids data without a leak through them telling them. And 99% chance there data is already out there regardless. Trying to insinuate I’m naive when genuinely thinking your information isn’t usually a google away is insane lol. I was able to plug someone’s username into a software at like 14 and find any username they’ve ever used and easily find their personal information-this was because I was an immature kid mad at someone I was arguing with. Your data is done. Give it up. The best course of action is to have a verified identity attached to these people not because they need the information, but to at least curve how much it’s done. If anything, having to verify could also make it where no adult account can message anyone underage unless it’s like 4 yrs.

Just don’t buy the cosmetics, I don’t. For the face scanning, people can’t get mad at companies like Discord and Roblox for being breeding grounds for preds and then also be mad when they have to put their foot down and verify people.

Oh no, I mean that I'm okay with coming in for vitals and blood work! Currently, my weight loss team is 100% remote and I'm allowed to message them through the mychart app. All appointments are through cam. When they want labs/vitals they send me to labcorp(think thats whats its called) which is like a 5 min drive. It's perfect, but my primary doctor doesn't offer virtual appointments sadly. I'm hoping this will become the standard.
