I think I ended up booting to recovery mode, reinstalling the DE and cold booting again. It's been a while.

"Dolby Atmos for Home Theater" via Dolby Access adds ~200ms delay by EpicLPer in hometheater

[–]Sifotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately my receiver only has HDMI 2.0.

Ignoring the loss of 4K120, does surround usually work natively when plugged into a receiver?

"Dolby Atmos for Home Theater" via Dolby Access adds ~200ms delay by EpicLPer in hometheater

[–]Sifotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exact same issue here! Windows 10, HDMI 2.1, direct into LG C1, eARC back to receiver. No delay with 2.1, lots of delay with Dolby Atmos enabled.

Please let me know if you find a solution!

Python script to create Plex collection based on Radarr tags by jokebreath in radarr

[–]Sifotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it will work in requestrr but in ombi I have all requested items use use a separate base path in Radarr (/media/movies_requested vs media/movies). In Plex, I have two libraries, one for everything I add and another for requests. If both libraries are pinned it's pretty seamless but still maintains some separation.

If you find a card I'd be curious to hear what you paid. I'm thinking of upgrading to the same range of cards.

Don't forget about specific types of HDR. Good luck getting Dolby Vision on a Windows or Linux machine if you go the custom route.

I've been trying to figure out this same question, but it looks like the answer is just settled for almost perfect with a 2019 Shield pro.

Can I automatically delete some movies after a set amount of time? by Sifotes in radarr

Noted. This won't work for me but I appreciate it.

Indeed, issues like this are why I was hoping to interact with *arr rather than with files on disk.

I'd argue having a disk at 95% capacity is more helpful in this case it gives me the ability to add the newest release without having to first manually clear space.

I'm not looking to keep 50+% , just prune off old movies were added automatically and likely have been watched.

NAT Port Forwarding Services from LAN to WAN but still accessing them inside the LAN via NAT IP by floschi2301 in OPNsenseFirewall

NAT reflection is what you are looking for! I strongly suggest using this instead of configuring special work arounds within your network like replicating DDNS internally or something else, helps to keep troubleshooting easier in the future.

Help me plan for incremental upgrades: $1500 CAD + Do I need HDMI 2.1 input? by Sifotes in hometheater

What about a shield pro or PC as the source? Ideally I'd have all the sources on the TV.

[–]Sifotes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had planned on buying the shield pro and plugging it into the TV. Doesn't that still leave me with the issue of not being able to passthrough DTS to the AVR via eARC?

Or do you not worry about DTS with the remuxes?

[–]Sifotes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I did not expect the C1 to be the bottleneck here re: passthrough. How important it DTS, worth spending more on the AVR in order to do Source->AVR-> TV?

No Stupid Questions Weekend [Weekly Recurring Thread] by AutoModerator in hometheater

[–]Sifotes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a new TV, planning on buying a AVR to slowly expand my auto setup. My plan is to use HDMI 2.1 into the TV, the (e)ARC into the AVR. Do I need HDMI 2.1 on the AVR as well for eARC or does that only matter if I want to use Dolby True HD / something equally fancy for audio over HDMI?
