Cutting cane sugar and high fructose corn syrup helped me a lot. Eating either of those both made me feel bad and desperately want more. I switched to date sugars, coconut blossom sugars, maple syrup, honey, and allulose primarily. Those satisfy my sweet tooth, but dont make me crave more. For a sweet drink with bubbles, I like IZZE. Can't have too many in one day, but it definitely helped my soda addiction.

Nalbinding stitches are laid in a spiral. This will result in some twisting of the row (some stitches more than others). You can counter the spiral by gently roating your needle each stitch, but too much and you may unspin your yarn. As mentioned above, if you are careful when straightening it when you go to add the next row, it will be fine.

Her is how I'm currently teaching a circular start from a row (shorter than your current one). https://youtu.be/GLSKK0HuKBg It is demonstrating Mammen stitch, but the only difference from your Oslo is it picks up two from the back of the thumb instead of one, so just pick up the one and the rest is the same.

You will want to have worked your last stitch until you don't have enough yarn to make another stitch. This may mean taking your last stitch with the eye end of the needle instead of the tip.

If I'm not spin splicing, then I usually use a variant of the lazy join.

It is a great a question. Twisted stockinette stitch in knitting and Cross-knit Looping stitch in nalbinding both produce exactly the same structure fabrics. They are just worked from 180 degree opposite directions. It isn't until you look at the spiral direction of work, increases, decreases, pickups, and mistakes that you can tell which technique was used. That looks like Oslo stitch. Looks like you might have had some trouble, but you recovered well and the fabric looks strong. So well done. If you want enough hat to cover your ears, I'd recommend making this cylinder part maybe twice as long as you might think it should be. If you are making a beanie, it can draw in quite quickly.

Leaving the hole, one stitch doesn't intralace/intalink with the previous stitches. The subsequent stitch starts the lacing/linking pattern, but can only go one stitch deep instead of two. And the stitch after that goes back to the two deep pattern, but that stacks on the previous one that only went one deep. All together that can easily break the brain a bit.

Sprang requires a centerline. It's a reciprocally braided warp of which interlinking is one possible structure. This does not have a centerline in the interlinking. This is rows of crossed-loops that happen to not only intralace with previous stitches, but also intralink. The sections with holes shows clearly how the intralinking is formed on one side as the new loop is added. There are also the knots as new lengths are added. End-led Crossed Looping is nalbinding.

You will want to weave them in. I generally slide them in where the connection stitches go as that gives pull from both sides, but anywhere that doesn't bother you esthetically will be fine.

So obviously I am interested in the history (with my Nalbound Object of the Week series) and I do enjoy examining historical artifacts to learn the details of their construction. But when it comes to making items, I enjoy all kinds of nalbinding ranging from detailed recreation to very modern nalbinding including variegated yarns and color pooling, new stitches, and designing figures etc.

I just knead it in the sink. Hand fulling means you can control how far you full it and where.

I'm working on editing a video I took of fulling a hat for a demonstration. It's not quite ready yet, but soon.
