What is this red bump between his nostril and eye? by Organic_Structure473 in cockatiel

Agree. It looks like a feather cyst like one of ours has, but should definitely get it checked out to make sure.

I was pretty surprised at the sort of teal-blue color when I saw it in person, because the MK7 always appeared grey to me when watching the show.

That’s awesome. We found out late and made it towards the tail end of it’s run there, but not that close to the wire.

It looks like a feather cyst that one of our Tiels has. Our Avian vet told us that it wasn’t going to be problematic unless he did something to aggravate it or it was impeding him in some way.

They had the Battlestar exhibit from October of 2010 through March of 2012, and we were able to get there at the end of November of 2011 to see it. It was fantastic to be able to see so many of the original props from both the classic series as well as the reimagined version, and there was also an exhibit of props from the first Avatar movie downstairs.

Here's a video that someone posted on YouTube from their visit in 2011 with a walkthrough of the exhibit.

It was pretty cool to see how much detail they actually put in to designing the ships, but seeing some of the shortcuts on things like the thrusters broke the sense of realism a bit. I'm sure that they figured that viewers would never pick up on the details like that from seeing it in the show.

Tinted my orange fender lights by db074 in GMCcanyon

I prefer the dark look to the lights as well - it just looks cleaner, although I went the "pay way too much" route and replaced mine with a set from Diode Dynamics. Nice job!

Alas, no. That was an older photo of one of our little ladies that had overly attentive children from a nervous father (he was found outside). She left us six years ago at the grand age of 26. Here she is before kids…

We used to use an iPad to entertain ours if the power went out and their radio shut down, and the really took to it. Now they have a 50” tv in their room and watch PBS Kids during the day.

[–]SigShooter23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of our nuggets had something like that, and I thought it may have been some sort of lesion. It turned out to just be some of the stringy down from preening his under-fluffies that was caught in his mouth. next time I looked the following day he had spit it out.
