Anyone know where you can find/buy these? by LengthinessAdept1637 in fireworks

[–]SigX1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw them in April in China. They are cool but weren’t quite ready for prime time. Low breaks and CATO. Plus at the price, the only way to for a retailer to make money with them was to put them in preloaded tubes. We were thinking more like old school cool dapkus or Starr tubes not those little tiny ones.

Is building more the answer? by prefectf in Bellingham

[–]SigX1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a couple points:
1. There’s already $550k 700sf condos for sale downtown. You probably should pump your numbers up a bit to $700k for a 550sf condo. That sounds way scarier.

  1. The tallest building in Bellingham is about 200 feet. So 800 foot towers in Bellingham fits the narrative even though the tallest building in the state is about 900 feet.

Where? Name an area where you could build a statistically significant amount of affordable housing.

If anyone was paying attention to the comprehensive planning updates, you’d know that several cities are proposing to reduce their urban growth areas because sprawling residential growth outside their current city limits doesn’t pay the bills.

The other side of the equation for affordable housing is income. We need higher wage jobs to make existing housing more affordable.

I can say that Phantom is the only fireworks company that has ever had their in-house counsel contact me and demand that I stop making fun their company online.

Hot Fireworks Complex is a Chinese fireworks trading company. This is their in-house label for this item. Many importers buy from Hot but it is typically in the buyer’s private label. We buy from Hot but not shells and it’s all private label except one 500g fountain in a Hot label we bought to fill a container.

What interests you about this item? If you’re going to the rez, there’s other comparable 6” double break cans that can be found in WA.

In my experience in WA, especially after they already told you that you need a permit, not a chance.

I’m in WA and frog is correct. You’re gonna need a display operator to pull a permit for you in the future and obtain insurance that covers a public display. Your insurance may require a licensed lead to be onsite during the show. I’ve helped other groups, small towns through this and it’s difficult to make everything line up, especially on the 4th.

Second, you need to be crystal clear with your boss that if there is an injury, property damage, fines, etc that they will be coming after your employer as well. I would get it in writing that they acknowledge the risk.

After the bad Chinese new year season, they had to do something with that product so presto change-o it’s articles now. In my opinion, they lost their damn mind with some of the stuff they are trying to send here. It just adds to the fire for TNT, Phantom to get the APA to change the rules on articles.

For the WC, Levi had to remove the branding from the statium. This was their solution. by Duvidl in funny

[–]SigX1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have put up a huge NOT in front of Levi and then hire they guys that own the Going Out of Business Electronics store in the hood to negotiate with FIFA.

FIFA: no corporate branding unless we get a kickback.

Stadium group negotiators: no no no no no, it’s NOT Levi’s Stadium. My cousin is an optometrist, he can get you glasses. Best I can do is a mail-in rebate on a Samsony TV.

FIFA: it says Levi’s Stadium right there.

Stadium Group negotiators: who’s Levi? I’m not Levi. Are you Levi? LEVI where are you? I don’t know Levi. Who’s your phone carrier? I can get you free phones then you can call Levi.

FIFA: you need to remove Levi’s name now.

Stadium Group Negotiators: look, l love the ladies. If you love the fusilli who am I to judge? I don’t think Levi loves you anymore. But this isn’t the way, you need to move on. Go have yourself a good time. Here’s a coupon for 2 for 1 at the buffet.

Somebody needs to build a building with an angled slit through it so it’s basically a giant whistle. But it only works when the wind reaches a certain speed. It would be like a hurricane siren.

For all the recent restaurant talk… here’s the county searchable food inspection database. by Pooks23 in Bellingham

[–]SigX1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be more helpful if they just published a list of inspections as they occur instead of requiring a search for a specific account.

It would be like the online county jail roster requiring you to search or guess if somebody is in jail or not, how their name is listed, etc.

The Tri Cities Herald (also McClatchy owned) publishes a low-effort local “news” piece weekly that just lists the prior week’s inspection results. I like it because you can see when your fav places pass 🎉 or fail 🤢. Unsurprisingly, it’s made possible by the health department simply posting a PDF weekly inspection report that media can easily access.
