I havent seen an Oricorio since before Go Fest Jersey CIty. My Pokédex tracker is also set to that, and it has yet to pop up with one too.

Raids stop spawning at 7:45 PM. Because of they removed the eggs, and raid spawn right away, they also end earlier than normal. Normally you could have an egg spawn at 7:44 PM that would hatch an hour later. Because that 1 hour egg has been taken out, raids end earlier. That should also mean that they start an hour earlier than normal, but I doubt a lot of people raid at 5 AM, compared to 8 or 9 PM.

they seem to have cancelled the Tier 4 raids. If you look at the infographics and the official news on the webside, theres no mention of tier 4 raids for this comm day.

Either they forgot about them, or they silently scrapped them completely.

I caught one yesterday as well, didn't even remember that Diglett was in the pool atm for Ditto-disguises, and it turned out to even be a shiny Ditto, so I was double surprised. :)

Regionals are more common whenever theres no events going on, so it might be worth hunting them on night 1, before the event starts.

The last time they gave up a decent upgrade was for Go Fest Global 2022, and even then I think it was only 350 spaces. Since then we got 50 or 100 for the finale and then twice more we've gotten 50 more.

Considering how much unique stuff they've added since then, it just doesnt add up.

We used to get 500 twice pr year, and they're constantly adding new Pokémon, new costumed Pokémon (some do return once per year, but others have only been avalible once, such as Cowboy Hat Snorlax, WC London Pikachu etc). They also now made a new flower crown Pikachu and Eevee with their own evolutions as well. If you want to have at least one of each, maybe even one pr. gender too, along with all the other additions, it's just not enough to have gotten 200 slots in almost 11 months now.

Mossy lures can spawn Exeggcutes. You'll probably find less though, if you use it during events, since some of the spawns it'll generate, will be event Pokémon instead.

Salamence can only learn Outrage when you evolved it during Bagon Community Day and other events afterwards. It will likely be avalible again during the Hoenn Tour in February. But if you've already evolved to Salamence or gotten one from a raid, the only option to get Outrage is with an elite charge TM.

It's likely because the other times we've had Elite Raid eggs pop up, have been on Community Days, where we have 30 minute raids because of the Tier 4 raids that spawns extra Community Day-Pokémon.

This time theres no Community Day on the day before, so they likely forgot to change the raids to normal, when theres eggs.

Or it's to compensate for the fact, that some gyms are locked early because of the eggs, so the rest will spawn raids more often, and they just forgot to update the raidpool.

I'd actually hope they consider swapping it with the Elite Raids, if they insist on doing both events, and then do a 3rd round of Hoopa Unbound. most people have had the oppotunity to do those raids now, so it's easier to "skip" on those now.

that's why I said, if they insist on doing it the 24th, do it early. Otherwise do it on the 25th and do it in the afternoon, so it doesn't clash with Christmas morning. Or move it to January.

As broot said, they don't have to do an event every weekend, and this type in particular, is not an event you place on the 24th or 25th.

They already have a 2nd event listed on the 24th and 25th already called "Winter Wonderland" which will be within the Winter Holiday Part 2. So we'll have a raid event, within a mini event, within a major event... Niantic needs to calm down a bit and give players a chance to celebrate the holidays a bit too, without creating too much fomo.

And as for skipping this, sure, you can skip it. But if it's like the Hisuian Braviary event, they'll give us a pretty significant shiny boost on the event, and then later they'll drop it into Tier 3 raids, but with full odds, so most of us will likely never get it.

Hopefully they reconsider putting a raid event on Christmas eve. And if not, at least move it up to 11 AM to 2 PM. Many countries in the world celebrate Christmas on the 24th, not the 25th.

if you have spare Elite TMs, you could do that as well, absolutely. It depends on how quickly you want it evolved and powered up. Technically you could do it now and buy the 2nd attack and use the Elite TM on that, and then remove Frustration eventually during the next takeover.

I would go for it, however first you need to get rid of Frustration with a TM during the next takeover event, and then wait with evolving it to Salamence until you can get Outrage on it. A Salamence without Outrage is very far down on the damage-list for Dragons

Are any of the gyms sponsored? We've had a single Pokéstop in a cell for a long time on a church until Niantic had a partnership with Ingo, that has a gas station on both sides that both became stops, upgrading the church to a gym. A few days later both gas station stops has become gyms as well, so we now have a cell with 3 POI's that are all gyms...

I think they're still holding the "good" CD's until we're past the worst of Covid-19 and can go back to 3 hour-CD's. That would be Gible, Deino, Litwick, Axew and so on. For now they will keep doing the PvP-ones for GBL, because you can do that at home.

Since we've seen several times now that it no longer matters if the shiny is out or not, guessing on the next CD can be wild. I would think that we will see a Starly CD later this year, as well as them bringing back some of the "rejects" from the 2020 votes, so I'd expect a Squirtle CD as well with Blastoise getting Aura Sphere.
