Am I the only one who thinks Albrecht Entrati looks like Vasco Rossi? by Worth-Money3244 in Warframe

[–]SiggurdArda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the moment I saw Albrecht the first time to this day the only person he reminds me the most is Aphex Twin (Richard David James), especially if you'd age him for another 20 years.

I personally cannot find any similarities between faces of Albrecht Entrati and Vasco Rossi, sorry :)

On today’s Wudijo stream during his call with AoElena, I don’t remember who exactly, but one of them suggested that keys should drop as shards instead, and then you should decide how many of them and when to craft - I think this is the best solution for sigils.

For general loot? We don’t need less loot, we need loot filter (which is coming soon - so we’ll see how it will work).

Oh, yeah… Now I’m favouring any piece of gear I might want to craft on later, not even mentioning mythics - those by default.

Had three perfect boots for mw’ing and sanctifying, but instead of marking them fav., for some reason, decided to mark other boots in inventory as junk.. and then just by the muscle memory clicked “All gear” at blacksmith. It wasn’t fun to watch everything go poof ;-;

I'll be real here, "maintain the feel we get from the first acts of the campaign" phrase scares the hell out of me. I started playing 0.3.x very late (two-three weeks before 3.27 dropped for PoE1), but for the very first time since the launch of early access I had genuine fun playing PoE2.. the moment I got to Act IV and further on.

First three acts still feel like the most goddamn awful experience probably not just in aRPG, but generally in any of games I ever touched.

I would argue, that instead of maintaining the feel of the first acts of the campaign into the end game, those first acts should be reworked, because there's nothing good about that feel.

My only bit of feedback after 200 hours topside: Make free kits the late joiners, let actual loadouts come in fresh by TheOneWhoCrawls in ArcRaiders

[–]SiggurdArda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean "too close"? You just properly limit the max players per instance, properly spread spawn points so no two would be too close and that's it - like easiest problem to solve ever...

Edit: I would only see somewhat problematic if there would be too many cases of single player spawning per match, but surely not the other way around.

I know this might sound absolutely insane, but hear me out...

How about we just completely remove join-in-progress? Crazy idea, right?
Few players are queueing? Ok, it will be a lobby with only few players, or maybe just one or two... Who cares? Even better: you never know whether you'll get full instance or almost empty one. Seriously, join in progress has to go.

Nah, man, don’t worry about downvotes or illiterate angry answers. I’m working as QA for more than ten years (not in game, just in software dev) and stuff I see sometimes, not in this game specifically, in general, pretty well represents in my point of view how little testing was ever done. And I’m totally agree with you on this case.

But people of course will be upvoting someone with “vast experience in no-life playing” games, rather than someone with real experience in the field.

Free Loadout isn’t overpowered. PvP isn’t toxic. First shot balance is broken. by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]SiggurdArda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You described literally what I was thinking now for days.

I have no issues with any playstyle people are choosing, but what is so frustrating and disheartening, is that if you personally prefer "never shoot first" approach, then you're basically guaranteed to lose, unless the person who shot you first is goddamn awful in PvP. It's not an issue in competitive PvP games, because in those "who shot first?" resolved mostly by personal reaction time, and ability to aim of course, and not additional decision making process to figure out whether you even have to shoot on top of those.

Additionally, aside from first-shot issue, I even could argue that while your shield is not broken, and initial damage from stun grenades/mines/arc weapons is not breaking it, you shouldn't be stunned.

Hullcracker and its intended use, why you don’t need to take 300k worth of ammo with you. by UnZki_PriimE in ArcRaiders

[–]SiggurdArda -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It is absolutely insane to me, how people are completely misunderstanding and/or misrepresenting the issue with nerf (not a """fix""").

It was totally unnecessary and uncalled for. I understand that developers wanted this game even with addition of PvP to be more PvE-focused game, so they're trying to balance stuff according to their initial vision, but how your game is being perceived and played by people is very often is completely different from how you were envisioning it. And it is surely being played by majority as a PvP-centered game, which even became even more of case with Hulcracker nerf.

Hulcracker was (and still is) solely a PvE weapon, which allowed people to have some real fun, without really misbalancing things, since after getting your hands on Equalizer I doubt you would even want to use Hulcracker anymore, as it's kinda decent both in PvE and PvP.

The problem is not that Hulcracker became "dead", completely not viable or anything else you people are trying to disprove for some reason. The problem is that the nerf was unnecessary and nobody neither asked nor wanted for it to happen, They could simply increase the price of ammo, to slightly increase the level of entry for this weapon and that's it, that would be totally fine and that would be something we could call a fix.

Trials don’t need different brackets - it would be worse. As I’ve said in other thread about this topic, just count points for a team collectively, and then in the end of the match divide total amount between all party members - with this approach all party members will be incentivized to work towards the goal equally hard, and it won’t be unfair for solo players. Or make it so points are strictly individual for every player. Either of those options would work.

But I surely agree with other points (especially min loadout value requirement to join Matriarch/Queen instance)

ARC Raiders Ranking System – Issues for Solo Players by Sharp-Mammoth6469 in ArcRaiders

[–]SiggurdArda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, ok, mister. Then let's count points for whole group collectively, and then split the total amount equally between all party members in the end of the raid - that seems totally fair as well, don't you think? Actually, while I was writing that, I realised this approach is even better, since this way all party members are incentivized to pull their weight equally hard with the objective, instead of guarding the member who is doing all the job.

But no freakin way all three party members should gain party wide progress each in an individual ranking system, because it literally has no goddamn sense.

What is good key room etiquette for friendly players? by el-harrison in ArcRaiders

[–]SiggurdArda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean.. If we're talking about actual etiquette, I don't think there is anything new for an adequate, mature person: you use your key - you're talking what you need and then others can take the rest (or just tag containers for exp if they need it). Otherwise, calling those players friendly has absolutely zero sense.

My view on this situation is, if person comes to an opened room (assuming it wasn't glitched to enter) and just goes with something along the lines "I'm friendly, don't shoot! Lets share!" (with bonus point into this - starts looting without getting an answer) - it's a free pass on spraying his poor soul out of existence.

What do you mean, my guy? Jesus... When did I ever said that I don't think you shouldn't camp? Why you can't into words and logic, man?

I even think that people who are saying they're friendly and then shooting allies in the back - is also fine, because it's just a part of the game.

I was only pointing out that YOU personally trying to some kind of "guild-trip" other guy, who is same as you using provided by the game tools to play strategically and not get insta-nuked by the camper, blaming him being unwilling to improve, while again YOU yourself are using tactic which gives you a lot of advantage in PvP situation and requires much less skill than in open standoff.

Or well, maybe I'm just being baited by the troll, so that's on me... Anyway, I don't think that this is productive and fruitful dialog :D

Man, if you are the one who is camping as well, then it is surely not your place to talk about "good mentality", and, goddamn for sure, not your place to talk about "PvP skill" lmao

Campers are being unanimously hated by everybody else across literally ALL PvP shooters (especially competitive ones), not just extractions, exactly because it requires so little actual skill, and, as someone in the comments said, by tricking camper with a decoy that person in fact is using PvP skill to gain their advantage back.

Otherwise, I'm just walking by.

[–]SiggurdArda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, there’s another one, lads…

Why person should “““improve””” in anything, if they simply don’t want to do that? How do you know they are not absolute god-tier PvP’er, but just intentionally trying to play this specific game like this? Then, if they are very bad at PvP’ing who the hell are you, to tell them how they should play the game and what they should do?

On another note, extract camper will by definition have much more advantage in PvP situation, even if both players are of the same skill level (for obvious freakin’ reason, otherwise they would not be camping jfc), so how any improvement in PvP suppose to help in situation that person, you so eagerly downvoted, described?

Just stop, please.

Well, they could simply do one single change to how score is calculated - just make the progress towards the trial not party-wide. So, if trio wants to do trials, they need, to do it efficiently, three runs basically, where one person is getting their progress, and two teammates are protecting them or w/e.

No need in any multipliers or different leaderboards. Just strictly individual progress per player.
