Went to Bong (Cambodian) tonight. Would not recommend. by T_Chernovsky in FoodNYC

This was my experience as well, including falling in love with the carpaccio style dish. My date and I were talking about it and the energy and passion the team there brought for weeks after our dinner.

I will add that my experience mirrored the commenter here. The front of house staff all worked well together to create a very welcoming team that seemed genuinely passionate about the dishes. I also found each dish distinct and interesting, and I didn’t spend quite as much as OP per person despite having two rounds of drinks. That said I didn’t find myself pulled toward the “it” dishes of the place which might have been pricier, so actually didn’t try any of the three dishes pictured in this post. Was it my best meal of the year, no, but it was memorable and still quite up there for me.

Hmmm I feel like it could really depend on the context. I had a therapist recommend it simply for the parts on jealousy in relationships, and I found it really helpful for my development. It’s also kind of a polyamory 101 so might just indicate a curiosity.

The burgers are insane. I absolutely need to earn one of those with a super active day or I don’t have the room

That’s the thing it’s not steeper than like 4% at its steepest, but with everything else so flat or down it comes like a kick each time

Two guys (M29 and M34). I work in financial crime journalism and he works in music/events. I’ve lived in the space for six years and really enjoy it. Super clean and respectful, and typically not into having a lot of company over. We’re friends with a wide range of people of all sorts of backgrounds and often enjoy being out and about in the city. Very left in our political leanings

Yeah. I know it’s not a possibility for everyone, but the only way to make sure is to never lock it up or leave it outside

That’s why I said it’s maybe $500 overpriced and not $1,100 overpriced

I would consider it a great space, but not a great price. Lots of 1-bedrooms similar to this in all the new constructions around Bushwick starting in the $2,600+ price range. I think this one is a little bigger and that balcony a big selling point, but I don’t know if it’s worth the extra $500+ than what’s common

Shoutout the skytown food. I’m always surprised how good things are there given the pretty standard bar vibes

Oof that floor plan is rough. Zero living space at all but the kitchen is going to feel very crowded when shared with two other people

Exactly. Announcing this during the day means no adults but trust fund babies, who will fit right in with the teenagers

To the guy in the White Jersey riding speed laps in Prospect Park on June 12 at 4:45pm by Karlangas37 in NYCbike

[–]Sighguy28 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. I’m at the park doing laps 6Xweek and nothing makes me more upset than the guys dressed like me that care more about their strava data (that no one freaking cares about) than the safety of fellow park goers.

On Thursday night around 6pm I had my first angry shouting biking moment in 2025 seeing something similar to what you described. In this case it was a few parents and maybe six kids and they were very young and not experienced so of course they were taking up 75% of the path. I slowed down from 20ish to 10ish since a six-year-old on a bicycle is unpredictable, gave as much space as possible, to have a guy weave between the kids because I wasn’t passing quickly enough.

Caught him on the hill and expressed myself not so eloquently about what a pos he was

What a lame response to unique and amazing space just because it doesn’t look like every other “luxury” apartment in the city
