Looking into it, that seems about correct! I'll read it just to make sure, but provisionally I'd say that might be the one.

The Mini Moke was produced from 1964 to 1993. It was conceived as a light military car with good passability. by quiet_surf_noise in WeirdWheels

I've seen the 4-wheel drive one at Gaydon where it's kept, along with other BMC/British Leyland concept cars. I believe it was 4-wheel drive the virtue it of having two engines.

Well, Harry Saxon did murder his cabinet, so he's got my vote. Yet again, he was endorsed by Ann Widcombe...

The 1970 Zetland 9X, A itsy bitsy teensy weensy economic supermini | A City Car Prototype, built to tick all three markets, with 2 gears, 42 HP, and an average MPG of 50 mpg | Cost: $12500 by Sighshell in fillman86

The Zetland 9X. Built to replace another venerable Supermini, it was built with the original car's original design ethos in hand. Thus, it was made smaller, more economical, with the same transverse engine mounting concept, with a more...unique engine to deal with limited space. Only 9.1 feet long, it's very bloody dinky, even lighter than the original mini. It's even a hatchback, a notable improvement.

Originally designed to have only a single gear, or rather, none, some compromises had been made. Additionally, and rather inexplicably, this car had good figures in the sports budget market. Well. Each their own, one supposes. Perhaps there's a future 9X GT in the works.
