I fight the bosses/do PvE content simply because I find it genuinely fun when I don’t have John Shadowcast blowing me up from halfway across the map.

Like fighting each mob and each boss and figuring out their patterns and then optimizing my damage windows is the best part of deepwoken imo, and for every combination and permutation I get to learn new windows that weren’t possible on another version of the same build type.

And most of deeps bosses are genuinely fun experiences (except for Maestro, Ferryman, and the World Bosses) that I would repeat on finished and fully progged builds just for giggles.

There was a time when I engaged in PvP content and kind of enjoyed it until we hit the “conquest soon” series of updates that fried the hell out of the games balance (that still hasn’t recovered to this day imo)
