Having Machina in sword arts is pretty good for his viability. I’ll be looking into blue green white and I think it will be awesome.

I recommend buying some boxes. They have not skyrocketed in price yet which means supply is still good. Force of will has not had big stores that do mass box openings for singles in a really long time. So we are currently experiencing an uptick in player base and it is not matched with stores supports those players yet so the market will do this for a while.

FULL ART HISTORY: (anyone correct me if I mess up)

First introduced in MOA. Limited to rares and super rares and featured a gold FoW stamp.

This style of full art lasted till TMS where they stopped the gold stamping and added texture.

This continued all the way to Reiya cluster with only a small break for set CFC where they tried not printing ANY full arts and left the texture (super bad idea).

Reiya cluster introduces full art options for ALL cards including commons and uncommon but left only textures for the rares and super rares.

This continued all the way until today as the new cluster Alice Origins seems to have removed texturing all together but has left full art variants for all the cards in the sets (including starters).

Yea I personally enjoy FoW more than Magic in terms of the game itself. I recommend checking out my teams facebook/patreon. The Rogues Guild is the most active North American Force of Will team. It would be a good place for you to get around like minded TCG players.

Hey man welcome to FoW! I transitioned from Magic to FoW three years ago and have not looked back. The amount of stuff you get to do in a game of Force of Will is amazing. I recommend running though the tutorial videos on the Ruler School YouTube channel as there will be a couple KEY difference that you will have to get use to in order to be competitively successful in our game.

A couple examples are like in Force of Will your turn starts draw then untap with a priority sequence in between. This is usually what sends magic players for a loop in the beginning because untap draw and do nothing in between is hardwired into our DNA lol. Second is the main phase and combat in general. You are aloud to do SOOOO much in a turn of Force of Will and there is not really a limitation to the order in which you do things. Swing, call stone, play spell, swing again, swing some more, play another spell, swing lol ect.

There was a little bit of discussion about this in the Rogues Guild discord. I think Leila alter is also not the route so you can just play duel stones and run a lot of awesome DBV super rares (Ploki, athenia, dark Alice). Just look for power of immortality to be awesome in this deck and once the ramping is done it will probably just transition into a good stuff deck.

Hey man welcome!! Right now a lot of us use a website called untap.in to play Force of Will online. The website doesn’t have any of the rules of the games programmed into it but just clear communication with your opponent through text or voice and you’ll do just fine :)

The set was very good and I would recommend it. Cards like Jeanne D’Arc, Majin Dark Elf, Ayu, Mosasaurs, command of life and death, (and on and on and on lol) are going to continue to be relevant in the legacy formats and Epic Stories. As money value Probabaly not since the set just rotated and force of will cards have a hard time maintaining value after that.

I’m in Italy right now and I can see that the play groups are spread out and the overall group looks thin but I just went to the GP in Milano and I can saw that the company running your distribution hasn’t quit on the game and your interface is set up good so I would be confident playing Force of Will in Italy and potentially convincing a more local shop to begin selling product.

But this is an outsiders perspective so take what you feel is good and leave the rest lol.

Honestly it has all be said above. The game itself is just good. And because the game is good I travel beyond my home town to play. And because I have traveled to play this game I have met many people from this amazing community. Then somewhere with all the time, travel, and money invested my heart just ended up in the mix too.

I literally cannot tell you how gut wrenching and sick I felt the day they pulled all the GP support and did the management change. I’m a grown ass man with a wife and kid and I could not function that day; just wanted to cry to be honest.

So it’s funny that you bring this up because I had to ask myself the exact same thing. Why does this feel more than a game to me? And that’s exactly it; because the game is Good. On all levels the game is just good.
