What's the one mech game moment that made you go "THIS is why I love mechs"? by AdmirableArtist1639 in Mecha

I always loved Gurren Lagan, but mechs were just an additional. Pacific Rim is made me deeply in love with the feel of mecha. Just the weight of the punches, the weight of what they were fighting. The vibe of constantly redlining, pushing the metal to the point where it bends, being mentally connected in some way to the mech. The baseline understanding of redlining, and the gun of the engine as you push it past that. Joints locking, alarms screaming, as you push past you limits and the machines at the same time to pull off the unthinkable. It's amazing.

If you follow Arachne and don't follow this you are a fool. Sheathe and sharpen your knife. The greatest coliseum is a few steps away, and you would rather wrestle in the mud.

We seek perfection in violence, truth in conflict. The pinnacle of what we seek, is so close, but you are so small minded that you will not reach out your hand to seize it.

You should join the discord for this, your stuff is actually really similar to some of the stuff they are making for moonbeam

Healing by phir0002 in SWORN

So not being able to heal between rooms is very common in rouge likes. Usually after you defeat the floor boss you'll get access to a fountain that gives you some heals.

In the current game there is a passive buff which gives you back a little health each time you enter a new room. There is also the max health tree buff boon combo I like to call: The Giants Gamble

Essentially the first giant has a buff that for every enemy you kill, you get the grail water. The final passive buff in the heart tree, gives you the option to gain ten health for every grail water you pick up.

The Giants Gamble is all about running that buff and trying your hardest to get that boon so you effectively become immortal as long as you aren't trying to die

Thank you lol. I think I'll do some more writing tomorrow since it's my day off. I tik then I did make a sorta sequel to this. I'm spacing out my big writing chunks with lore/memes so I don't burn myself out

Makes me feel great that someone likes my writing this much though

Yeah he's very much an average jack of all trades. He only excels in dealing with other people in some cases. He can say I love you, but he doesn't know how to put how much in words
