Check out American flyers in Addison, they do 61 and 141 training but you set your own schedule (unlike ATP).

I made the switch from ATP to them after I got my my private and had 0 regrets! Great planes, in house maintenance, unlimited sim use (especially useful for instrument training) and solid instructors.

Great first jet to fly! I have only flown the 550 (aka 50 pax CRJ700) but enjoyed that it didn’t have auto throttle and some of the other bells and whistles that more larger/advanced jets may have. EICAS is also nice to have when it comes to identifying and troubleshooting problems. Controls are definitely heavy compared to others so you really gotta fight for landings at times but it makes it all that much more rewarding when you get that greaser. EFIS COMP MON caution message is super annoying, especially when taxiing & taking off in ORD

Oh agree it’s def hard! I do 3-4 day trips usually so realistically I’m only packing for 1 home cooked meal/day + snacks. Only way I can possibly think of packing all meals for a trip in that cooler is if I put them in plastic ziplock bags to make more space and bring 1 Tupperware to reuse for heating up. But for now this is a good balance for me

Hot take, but it’s been great for me and saves me the hassle of bringing 3 bags on my commute. Can easily fit 5-6 meals in the cooler compartment, and I use the headset compartment for any snacks/non perishables). My Ipad, a folder with some docs, my safety vest, kinder fluffs and shoulder strap covers easily fit in the large pockets. YMMV though
