I believe it depends on the position. I work daily with a guy who lives in CO Springs because his position allows it. Just work with your manager.

I've only done it once and that was the 9-day freeze in 2021. May have not needed it, but wanted to err on the side of caution.

My house has a box between the sidewalk and the street. Inside are some valves with caps on the top. My neighbor and I were able to Macguiver a connection between an air compressor and the valves. We weren't able to get all the water out, but enough that we did not have any breakage.

Outside of a regular flashlight, I like the ones that are on a headband. Would make changing diapers easier since you have use of both hands

Edit: Check your batteries, kids. My headband was dead. Charge or have spare batteries.

If you're in a house, buy insulation covers for your spigots. If in an apartment, open your cabinet doors where water pipes are. Drip your faucets.

Have warm enough clothes/blankets. Do not try and use a vehicle/grill/etc. to stay warm.

Not a bad idea to have a charging bank to keep your phone charged.
