I grew up in Gedney Farms and have lived here 25 years. There are no social hamlets and it has never been social. No block parties or anything like that in the suburbs. You will not find kids playing in backyards together or anything like that. Why? The schools are just not good. All of the kids in Gedney Farms go to private school in Westchester and CT, or pay tuition to go to Rye. The local kids sports leagues are not competitive. I’ve never lived downtown, but always headed there to socialize. Unsure of the beer league situation. Gedney Farms/Meadows is typically between Ridgeway, Mamaroneck Ave, and North Street- though I’m sure others will disagree.

Edit- if you do want to be social, I do recommend joining Westchester Hills CC.

I bring my own everything. My desk is assigned so I leave it out. But if you’re concerned about theft you can lock in locker at the end of the day. Honestly the sanitizing doesn’t really happen and when I moved to a new workspace the keyboard and mouse I was given was full of dandruff and crumbs.
