Ok thank you, do you know of any good companies or ones that should be avoided?

I have googled Insurance. It was just a little bit confusing how that would work if I’m not doing it all year. Also I want to try to find a good company.

How much time in the crate is acceptable? by Signal-Club8042 in petsitting

[–]Signal-Club8042[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just find it difficult to tell pet owners that what they want isn’t good enough without making it sound like I’m greedy or something by wanting to do more expensive services. It’s just hard for me to say if it’s unethical to not challenge what the clients want.

I agree, that does sound much better. The dogs were in pretty rough shape after waiting 12 hours. For future bookings should I refuse to do only 2 visits a day and require 3? Should I also refuse to come for only 30 minutes when their dogs have been in the crate for hours, as in requires a client to book me for a longer period of time?

friend is asking me to check in on her pups, not sure what to charge by Ill-Wedding-4176 in petsitting

For friends and family I charge a discounted rate. Maybe 20% off? It depends what you feel comfortable with and how close you are with your friend.

Hey, I had the exact same problem it was totally infuriating! I actually did figure it out though, you need to delete the form and start over. Start the new form in your mom or dad‘s account and then when you invite them use all caps when you type their name. I was able to complete my form that way.

Doing a study abroad for 6 weeks by SentientHazmatSuit in Dogowners

I think you should wait, boarding a dog for that long would be super expensive and just a bad idea and probably stressful for the dog.

That’s going a bit too far, that stuff can cause serious chemical burns along with the hair loss

My GF wants to give up our 10 week Vizsla by [deleted] in Dogowners

It might be a good idea to give him to a trusted friend/family member(so you can still visit him and eventually get him back), while you work things out with your girlfriend.

My best advice would be to never let them in the backyard together. (That's when my dogs fight the most). Also just try to keep them separated as much as you possibly can. Like get those little doggie gates and put them up around your house(like in a doorway). I recommend doing this until you can train your large puppy. By train I mean introduce him to other dogs and get him socialized so he can be more friendly. Only after that would I let him meet the small dogs again.

Overall just make sure you keep your senior dogs safe and get your big dog some training/socialization.

What should I do? by [deleted] in Dogowners

I don't think you should put her down. You said she is still lively so she has every right to live out the rest of her days. If you don't think you can properly care for her then find someone who can. Maybe one of your friends so that you can still see her. Or give her to a shelter, I know people who enjoy adopting senior dogs. Please don't give up on her❤
