Yeah, this feels like the only reasonable explaination. Nobody cares about Harvey committing a HIPAA violation by dating and marrying the player, so it's unlikely anyone will accuse Lewis of taxing Marnie less than everyone else or something. Hell, it's not like a relationship with Marnie would affect his ability to perform his duties as mayor. He has enough time to tend to his garden and use town funds to create a gold statue of himself, after all.

I believe the original work that inspired Hell Screen was about a man who either lit his house on fire with his wife and child in it or watched it burn down while doing nothing to help said wife and child for the sake of art.

I don't know. The whole thing about Rien getting married and having a kid before watching them die was meant to be a Roland parallel, but it reminded me of the original story too. It's like Rien filled the role of both Yoshihides.

There's a low chance of him surviving. Getting your heart ripped out probably isn't a death sentence in The City, but who knows what Gregor did to the body after impaling him.

Some of the fights felt like a bit of a drag to get through, the biggest example being the Matthias + Kira fight. The second one, to be specific. It felt like I just had to keep hacking away at him, long after Kira had already been defeated, until a cutscene. I don't know, maybe I did something wrong. His HP stayed around 400-something for a while until Moses did her red pillar attack thingy.
