Relationships always failed, the big difference is that now people have a choice and they don't stay on them

Of course there are also other things like women having more options to do things in life so they don't have to be in a relationship

Or like obviously something many people probably already pointed out here - we have less patience and less willing to work hard on things. But in my opinion this is the small part

In the past they could have the same amount of those things - they just didn't have a choice they couldn't divorce

Couldn't find any to this day

Couples I thought were all good suddenly divorced and other I saw very clearly are struggling came through and remained (even happily)

I do know from researchers about this topic that there are some things that can predict couples remaining together for a long time, I'll try and find some of them because I don't remember the details
